No planes available: PM Carney charters private jet to Egypt for historic Mideast peace summit

OTTAWA – Prime Minister Mark Carney was forced to take a charter flight to Egypt for the historic signing of an agreement to end the Israel-Hamas war because there were no air crews available to fly a Canadian Armed Forces jet.

The trip to Sharm-el-Sheikh was planned on short notice and the CAF members who usually crew flights on the Airbus passenger jets or smaller Challenger jets were deployed elsewhere, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

It was cheaper than flying a Forces Airbus so there’s that, but Carney had no business there anyway other than as a prop for Trump.

Chinese queue jumpers return home broke after failed attempt to buy Canadian residency for 40K

TingTing Biao remembers the moment she realized she lost everything, including tens of thousands of dollars in savings, on an immigration scheme that left her broke and traumatized.

A donated loaf of bread was all she could offer her child.

“My daughter eats one meal in the whole day,” Biao said, her voice trembling during an interview in Saskatoon this August.

Instead of a new life in Canada, Biao is now back in China warning others about what happened — a dream that turned into a nightmare.

What happens in Hollywood when, after years of protests against a perceived injustice, the unbelievable happens? The cri de coeur is answered.

If the injustice has anything to do with Israel, the massacre of 1,200 civilians by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and the ensuing war in Gaza, which just ended thanks to a ceasefire brokered by President Trump, the answer is: silence.

NDP leadership race is a battle between building a big tent and returning to the party’s labour roots

OTTAWA — Two separate paths to party renewal — and three very different contenders — have emerged as the race to choose the next leader of the federal NDP begins to take shape.

While still in its opening weeks, the contest is already shaping up as a referendum over whether the NDP should double down on courting middle-class moderates or focus its energies on reconnecting with its traditional blue-collar base.

The NDP hates Whites but especially White males they will tolerate self-hating White women when convenient.
