AstraZeneca jab hailed as perfect excuse to avoid attending Springsteen show

Vaccine rule for Springsteen Broadway show adds travel uncertainty for AstraZeneca recipients

Drunk Trump deranged celebrity idiot

David Screech had already selected his seats and put in his credit card information for Springsteen on Broadway tickets when he noticed the COVID-19 vaccine requirements: his two doses of AstraZeneca-Oxford wouldn’t be enough for admission.

Screech, the mayor of View Royal, B.C., and a Springsteen fan of 40 years, received his second AstraZeneca dose last week, but the Jujamcyn Theaters’ website said it would only allow guests “fully vaccinated with an FDA-approved vaccine” — Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.

Canada-U.S. border restrictions extended until at least July 21: Bill Blair

OTTAWA, June 18 (Reuters) — Canada is extending a ban on non-essential travel with the United States until July 21 and will soon reveal how existing COVID-19 restrictions will be relaxed, Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said on Friday.

Canada’s Liberal government is under increasing pressure from businesses and the tourism industry to ease the ban, which was first imposed in March 2020 to help contain spread of the coronavirus and has been renewed on a monthly basis ever since.

Green leader silent on party’s key demand that she disavow ex-advisor who supported Israel

… Paul faced a move towards a non-confidence vote earlier this week when several members of the party’s federal council, its board of directors, sought to have her removed. The council didn’t move directly toward a vote of non-confidence, but said it would move ahead with the process to remove Paul on July 20, if she didn’t repudiate former advisor Noah Zatzman as well as issue a statement fully supporting the party’s caucus.

This statement by Noah Zatzman indicates a psychic break from reality and Lib-left politics; “We will not accept an apology after you realize what you’ve done. We will work to defeat you and bring in progressive climate champions who are antifa and pro-LGBT and pro indigenous sovereignty and Zionists!!!! Am Israel chai [The people of Israel live].”

Victoria’s Secret goes woke

Victoria’s Secret “Model”

Victoria’s Secret is going woke.

No, not in the most obvious sense. What it’s doing is scrapping its long-built brand of sexy underwear on super-thin supermodels — and exchanging it for underwear displayed on fat models, transgender models, lesbian models, tattooed models, people whose taste and presentation in “sexy” is not quite the same as it was in the past, expecting the public to buy it, like it or not. They’re going virtuous, they’re going inclusive…

A high court in the US state of South Carolina has blocked two executions until the inmates are given the choice of death by electrocution or firing squad.

A new law requires inmates on death row to decide between the two methods if lethal drugs are not available.

But as prison authorities have not yet formed a firing squad, the executions have been halted by the supreme court.

‘So racist, so sexist’: Annamie Paul slams bid to oust her as Green Party leader

Green Party Leader Annamie Paul is firing back at what she described as a “small group of councillors” who she says were behind a push to dethrone her as the party’s leader on Tuesday night.

These councillors, Paul said, tried to “force a vote of non-confidence” on her leadership with “no substantive consultation with the members they represent.”

I regret to inform you that some people are okay with shoplifters looting convenience stores in San Francisco

“Granted, it’s not like progressive sympathy for looting is a new thing. Still, I thought the video from that San Fran Walgreens that I posted this morning would draw more uniform condemnation on social media. Normally when liberals defend theft it’s in the context of a riot following an incident of alleged police brutality, when America’s racist history can be cited as provocation.”

Dumb for all and all for Dumb! Vancouver School Board phases out honours programs in high schools

The Vancouver School Board is cutting honours courses in math and science in its high schools because the school district says they do not comply with the equity and inclusion goal of ensuring that all students can participate in every aspect of the curriculum.

The school board says teachers will instead be encouraged to teach to individual students’ capabilities, including those who excel at math and science. Honours courses in English were phased out over several years.

The “Stupid Nazis” are in charge. My bet is that whoever concocted this nonsense is innumerate.

Greenpeace paraglider stunt injures two at Euro match

Munich police are investigating after a protester parachuted onto the pitch just as Tuesday’s Euro 2020 match between Germany and France was about to kick off.

Two people were injured after the activist lost control of the motor-powered paraglider and had to perform an emergency landing.

Police said they had “no understanding whatsoever for such irresponsible actions, in which there was a considerable endangerment of human life.”

Queen’s U staff, associates accused of falsely claiming Indigenous identity

Queen’s University has become embroiled in an increasingly public dispute over whether some of its faculty and other associates are falsely holding themselves out to be Indigenous, thereby harming the cause of First Nations people.

Grey Owl – Archie Belaney – A visionary!

An anonymous report into the identity claims posted on social media earlier this month takes specific aim at six academics and others associated with the school it says are not genuinely Indigenous.

“Our findings confirm that Queen’s University is currently overrun with white Canadians making false claims to Indigenous — especially Algonquin — identity,” the report states. “We are confident that our thorough research has focused on six of the most prominent and harmful cases, most of whom play inordinate roles as ‘Indigenous’ gatekeepers on campus.”
