Trump says he’s decided on a punishment for Canada over wildfire smoke blanketing the US: ‘You’ll find out’

President Donald Trump said he would soon reveal his “punishment” for Canada over the wildfires that have blanketed parts of the U.S. with smoke in recent weeks, triggering air quality warnings across the country.

Trump has accused Canada of mismanaging its forests and previously vowed the country would be “held responsible” for the smoke that has drifted south. He renewed the threats Sunday evening in a gaggle with reporters aboard Air Force One.

The Fifth Man

The Fifth Man

“On the advice of counsel, I respectfully decline to answer based upon my rights under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci a full 111 times in last Wednesday’s homeland security committee hearing. According to Miranda Devine, that number is exceeded by “only a couple of mob bosses.” While invoking his own constitutional rights, Dr. Fauci believes the people don’t have rights even more basic than avoiding self-incrimination.

Declassified records show cabinet warned about terrorist financing through Canadian charities before 9/11

Federal cabinet ministers were warned months before the September 11 terrorist attacks that Canadian charities were being exploited to raise money for terrorist organizations and that extremist groups were using Canada as a base for fundraising and logistical support, according to newly declassified records.

Cabinet minutes obtained through Access to Information reveal ministers discussed terrorist financing, organized crime and extremist threats during a confidential meeting on May 8, 2001, roughly four months before Al-Qaeda carried out the attacks on New York and Washington that killed 2,753 people, including 24 Canadians.

Michigan Supreme Court orders review of permit for Enbridge oil pipeline under Great Lakes

The Michigan Supreme Court has ordered state regulators to reconsider a key permit that allowed a planned tunnel to carry an oil pipeline under part of the Great Lakes to move forward.

The 6-1 decision further clouds the future of the 73-year-old pipeline owned by Canadian energy transportation company Enbridge that carries petroleum from Superior, Wisconsin, to Sarnia, Ontario.

NBC Mourns Spanish Border Crisis Has ‘Been Seized On By President Trump’

NBC Mourns Spanish Border Crisis Has ‘Been Seized On By President Trump’

On both Friday’s installment of Nightly News and Saturday’s edition of Today, NBC correspondents Raf Sanchez and Matt Bradley lamented that President Trump noticed footage of the mass mob of migrants that rushed into Spain on Thursday and “seized” on them as a warning of what could happen here if Democrats win in November. Additionally, both undersold just how frustrated the rest of Europe is with the government of socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

Spain’s Illegal Alien Invasion Shows It Would Take Democrats Only A Few Hours To Destroy Trump’s Border Progress

Spain’s Illegal Alien Invasion Shows It Would Take Democrats Only A Few Hours To Destroy Trump’s Border Progress

It only took hours for tens of thousands of Moroccan illegal aliens to invade the Spanish territory of Ceuta this week. Removing those who remain will take far longer — if Spain even manages to remove them, given a recent court ruling that prohibits immediately deporting migrants who arrive by sea, as many did.

Islam: when they tell you they want to kill you, believe them

In Terminello v. City of Chicago (1949), Supreme Court Associate Justice Robert Jackson wrote:

“The choice is not between order and liberty. It is between liberty with order and anarchy without either. There is danger that, if the court does not temper its doctrinaire logic with a little practical wisdom, it will convert the constitutional Bill of Rights into a suicide pact.”

It has also been said that some Muslims don’t want to kill infidels. They just want other Muslims to do it for them.

North America First Is America First

North America First Is America First

President Donald Trump has never been shy about identifying the source of America’s manufacturing decline. For decades, policymakers pursued trade policies that rewarded companies for chasing the lowest possible labor costs, hollowing out American industry while enriching geopolitical competitors like China. Whether one agreed with his rhetoric or not, President Trump fundamentally changed the national conversation by insisting that trade should serve American workers, not simply multinational corporations.

That conversation is now entering a new phase.

U.S. general warns Pentagon he lacks sufficient forces to protect Israel

The top U.S. general in Europe privately warned the Pentagon this week that he lacks sufficient naval forces to continue protecting Israel from incoming ballistic missiles, officials said, illustrating how the ongoing Iran war has imposed constraints on the military.

Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, the head of U.S. European Command, sent written notification to senior Pentagon officials saying that without another Navy destroyer he will be forced to choose defense of the United States “homeland” over that of Israel, said the officials, who like some others spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the correspondence.

Fifth Amendment Fauci’s Narcissism Destroyed Faith in Scientific Methodology

If you believe in karma or that chickens always come home to roost, you have to explain why Mao and Stalin died in bed, and Hitler was able to choose his own way out. But watching Anthony Fauci on the witness stand before Congress taking the Fifth as fast as his lips could flap (more than 100 times), you could see some evidence that at least some hens become broiler chickens.

If Hamas disarmament plan holds, it could mark first credible step to ending Gaza war

If Hamas disarmament plan holds, it could mark first credible step to ending Gaza war

After months of marathon talks, Hamas has, for the first time, accepted a framework of the Board of Peace’s plan to completely disarm in Gaza.

The plan provides for the inventorying and storage of its remaining heavy weapons under Palestinian supervision, potentially removing the most significant obstacle to advancing the Trump-backed peace initiative for Gaza.

The move comes soon after Hamas concluded leadership elections that brought Gaza-based leader Khalil al-Hayya to the head of the movement.

A shrinking weapons stockpile is testing the Pentagon’s sweeping new strategy

A shrinking weapons stockpile is testing the Pentagon’s sweeping new strategy

In a late-June meeting with more than a dozen of the nation’s top defense technology firms, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had an urgent message: The Pentagon needed their help to rapidly replenish America’s weapons arsenal.

Outside the room, the United States was mired in a conflict with Iran that was rapidly depleting U.S. stocks of missiles and interceptors. According to three people familiar with the meeting, some of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive information, Hegseth told executives that their companies would be critical to restocking the nation’s supplies.
