A new study comparing economic performance in all of the Canadian provinces and U.S. states has found that, of the 60 jurisdictions, seven of the 10 lowest-ranking are in Canada.
The research by the Fraser Institute looked at living standards, incomes, private sector employment and labour productivity to compare the economic growth of the two countries. It found that, in every category, Canadians have fallen further behind Americans.

President Donald Trump has announced a deal to import Russian diesel into the US, as he faces mounting pressure to bring down fuel prices.
Trump said Putin had agreed to release 300,000 tonnes of diesel immediately “to the American and global marketplace” followed by 500,000 tonnes in November and another million after that.
The move on Friday sparked anger from Ukraine’s President Volodymr Zelensky, who called it a gift to Putin that amounts to “an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged”.

The deposed Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, have been indicted for alleged conspiracy to commit torture, according to Manhattan federal court papers unsealed on Thursday.
The superseding indictment was unsealed shortly before Flores appeared at court in her ongoing push for pretrial release – which was denied by Judge Alvin Hellerstein. Maduro and Flores have been jailed in New York City since early January.

Nidal Hasan’s execution for a “radical Islamist terror attack” will be carried out in public, the secretary of defense said Thursday. The man responsible for the worst attack on a U.S. military base during peacetime will face a firing squad on December 3 at the same place, same time and same day of the week as his November 5, 2009, attack that killed 13 and injured 32 at Fort Hood, Texas. “We’ll make sure it is public, that people are able to watch it. People need to understand that there are serious consequences for these types of things,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told a Human Events Daily reporter on board the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

Over the weekend, the Pentagon ordered all U.S. Air Force B-1 bombers to be urgently evacuated from a Royal Air Force (RAF) base in the once-peaceful countryside of England called RAF Fairford, where they had previously been stationed, and flown back home to America. Why? Because England is no longer considered a safe country for such expensive pieces of kit to be kept in.
Britain is unable to defend itself against the Muslims they foolishly let in.
The Canadian government has withdrawn its sponsorship of an anti-disinformation conference in Lithuania that feature panels talking about the United States as a foreign interference threat.
Samantha Lafleur, a spokesperson for Global Affairs, said the government wasn’t comfortable with the framing of some of the panels and Canadian officials will still take part in the conference but will not chair any discussions.
“Following changes to the framing of several panel discussions, Global Affairs decided to revise its participation in those sessions at the EU DisinfoLab 2026 conference,” Ms. Lafleur said in an e-mailed statement.
