Sir David Amess: Muslim terrorist found guilty of murdering MP

An Islamic State fanatic has been found guilty of murdering Sir David Amess MP.

The Southend West MP was stabbed more than 20 times during a constituency surgery in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex on 15 October 2021.

A jury at the Old Bailey took just 18 minutes to convict Ali Harbi Ali of murder and preparing acts of terrorism.

The 26-year-old from Kentish Town, north London, had denied the charges and claimed he targeted the MP over his vote for airstrikes on Syria.

Gone to Rot – Free speech in Britain is losing ground to the “right” not to be offended

John Adams wrote that the real war for American independence was won in the hearts and minds of the people, with the help of newspapers and pamphlets, which “enlightened and informed” public opinion. Freedom of expression, which the American colonists inherited from the British liberal tradition, was thus a catalyst for the creation of a new nation. In Britain today, however, the public seems to be losing interest in such liberty: a December 2021 YouGov poll found that 43 percent of respondents valued protecting people from offensive or hateful remarks over the right to free speech.

The Italian relived his ordeal on Thursday at the trial of British national El Shafee Elsheikh, in the US.

Daughter of David Haines to confront his alleged Islamic State kidnapper in US trial

The daughter of a British man murdered by Islamic State will demand to know the whereabouts of his remains when one of his alleged kidnappers goes on trial in the US this week.

Haines said she would plead with Elsheikh “to do the right thing” and reveal where the remains of her father and other western hostages lie. “Don’t do it for me,” she will tell him. “Do it for my son, so that he can finally say goodbye to his grandad.”

Trial opens into knife murder of British MP David Amess by Ali Harbi Ali

LONDON (AP) — A man who stabbed a veteran British lawmaker to death last year while he was meeting with voters was a “committed Islamist terrorist” who had spent years researching and planning potential attacks on lawmakers, a prosecutor said Monday.

Ali Harbi Ali, 26, appeared in the dock Monday at London’s Central Criminal Court as a trial opened into the murder of Conservative lawmaker David Amess, who was attacked on Oct. 16 during a routine meeting with constituents in a church hall in the town of Leigh-on-Sea in eastern England.

Ali, a London man with Somali heritage, denies charges of murder and preparing acts of terrorism.

UK: Elderly Victims of Rape Are Silenced

Sharia strikes in care homes.

West Yorkshire is ground zero for Muslim rapists. The grooming-gang hot spots of Keighley, Batley, Bradford, Leeds, Kirklees and Dewsbury all fall under the West Yorkshire banner.

And while we have all been anticipating more horrific reporting and cover-ups regarding the rapes that are happening on the streets and in people’s houses, a Freedom Of Information (FOI) request has revealed that sexual assaults have continued to be common in care homes in the area for at least the past couple of years. “200 residents of care establishments across the region, including nursing homes, were victims of sexual offences between the start of 2018 and the end of 2021.” Twenty-five of the victims were staff members, and only one of the assaults has resulted in a charge. And yet we were promised, years ago, that all of these cover-ups and failings by police, social services, care home staff, politicians, and more had been sorted, that the cracks in the system were all identified and fixed, that lessons had been learnt, and that every female in the care system was now processed dutifully and safely sheltered by every protection agency in the land.

One British-based dissident said she had received information that hitmen linked to Pakistani drug gangs would be contracted to target her.

The scandalous failure to tackle grooming gangs

Local authorities are more concerned with protecting their reputations than protecting vulnerable children.

A report published this week by the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) has confirmed what some of us have known for some time – that the UK is failing to address the widespread sexual exploitation of children.

Six case studies were chosen for the Child Sexual Exploitation by Organised Networks investigation report: Tower Hamlets, Bristol, Swansea, Durham, St Helens and Warwickshire. The report claims that police forces and local councils are still failing to properly identify and investigate grooming gangs, and they consistently underestimate the true scale of organised networks of abuse.
