Carney government makes long-awaited move to restrict social media access for children

OTTAWA–The Carney Liberals have introduced a revamped online harms bill that would restrict access to social media for those under 16, make AI chatbots safer, and impose new rules on digital platforms.

The Safe Social Media Act, tabled Wednesday, would compel social media companies to ban the creation of accounts for children under 16, but will allow companies to exempt themselves from those restrictions as long as they can demonstrate that “sufficient safeguards” are in place to protect children.

Trudeau Gov’t Partner With WEF For China-Style Social Credit System

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is actively promoting digital IDs. The Known Traveler Digital Identity (KTDI) is a WEF initiative that, according to its website, “brings together a global consortium of individuals, governments, authorities, and the travel industry to enhance security in world travel.”

“Canada is KTDI’s most prominent member. Now, Canada wants to introduce a Federal Digital Identity Program.”

It is not “Canada” — it is our ruling Liberal government. It’s not “wants to introduce,” but rather “will force upon” Canadian society whether citizens like it or not.

Why not cut to the chase? Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in the process of transitioning Canada into a mini-replica of communist China– in which Digital ID is a critical component.

Liberals Preparing Canadians For China-Derived Digital ID, Social Credit

When Canadian authorities are out to push citizens into compliance, they utilize a well-worn concept: they inform citizens that “our country is falling behind.” When it comes to Digital ID adoption, this is simply not the case.

The Liberal government are making significant strides forward in Digital ID implementation. Apart from China— founding nation of social credit-based digital identification, few nations of the world are further along the path than Canada.
