Southport inquiry blames killer’s parents

The Southport attack would not have happened if the killer’s parents had done “what they morally ought to have done”, an inquiry has found.

Axel Rudakubana, then 17, killed three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29 2024 and attempted to murder 10 others.

An inquiry into the incident heard that the teenager’s parents, Alphonse Rudakubana and Laetitia Muzayire, knew their son was hoarding knives, was accessing violent content online and had been making poison in his room.

Police have now arrested and charged two individuals, Mehdi Razavi and Arezou Soltani, alleged to have ties to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a branch of Iran’s military responsible for internal repression and overseas operations, with his murder.

The Simi Valley, California Police Department had a momentous announcement on Wednesday: they revealed that they were “investigating a possible ‘hate incident’ at an Islamic Society of Simi Valley building,” according to NBC Los Angeles. What kind of “hate incident”? That’s unclear. What is clear from several recent incidents, however, is that although most people, especially political and law enforcement officials, are much more worried about “Islamophobia” than they are about Islamic jihad, the latter is actually much more of a threat.

A 55-year-old Toronto man has been charged after protesters were allegedly threatened with death on Friday in the downtown area.

Toronto Police said demonstrators were protesting Friday at about 4 p.m. in the Yonge-Bloor Sts. area, where the accused allegedly approached, repeatedly yelled at and threatened to kill protesters.

Teen boy pleads guilty to May 2025 murder of Pickering senior

A 14-year-old boy who stabbed an 83-year-old woman multiple times to death outside her Pickering home in May 2025 has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.

The teen, whose identity is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, entered the plea in an Oshawa courtroom on Thursday.

According to Mamdani, New York City is little more than a cesspit of racism and white supremacy, and has been ever since it was stumbled upon by the Dutch in the 17th century. ‘New York’s history has been one of colonisation, exploitation and racial oppression’, states the mayor’s recently released Citywide Racial Equity Plan. The city’s ‘racial inequalities’, it asserts, are ‘rooted in our 400-year history’, beginning with the European settlement of New Amsterdam in 1624 and continuing unabated until, we can only suppose, Mamdani’s election as mayor in November.

An asylum seeker accused of raping a drunk woman on Brighton beach branded his friend ‘an animal’ after witnessing him spit in the alleged victim’s face, a court heard.

Iranian-born Abdulla Ahmadi, 26, said he was ‘disgusted’ after watching Egyptian Karin Al-Danasurt, 20, grab hold the the woman’s face and spit in her mouth.

He told the court: ‘I pushed him and was swearing to him and told him: “You are an animal”.’

‘Practicing Muslims Can’t Disavow Sharia Even If They Wanted To’

As a professor at Georgetown University and Washington Post columnist, Shadi Hamid is a made guy in today’s leftist establishment, and it is from those positions of oracular authority that he has delivered a sobering message to the growing movement to ban Sharia in the United States. In the WaPo on Wednesday, he declared that Muslims should not have to assimilate into American society and should not be expected to do so, and that efforts to ban Sharia were not only bigoted and “Islamophobic,” but also futile, as Muslims simply weren’t going to give Sharia up. And he’s right about that part, albeit in the midst of being wildly disingenuous about the nature of Sharia itself.
