Teen guilty of conspiring ‘to murder as many Jewish persons as possible’ in unusual trial

A 17-year-old has been found guilty of conspiring to murder Jews in Ottawa, among other domestic terrorism charges, after an unusual one-day trial that preserves his rights to appeal.

The teen — inspired by ISIS and an unknown person who went by “Klm” and “Gh D” online — was planning to commit an attack sometime around Christmas 2023 using three pressure-cooker bombs, according to a 50-page agreed statement of facts filed in Superior Court by federal Crown prosecutors Wednesday.

He planned to pack the bombs with thousands of 6.35 mm steel ball bearings “to maximize the death and injury caused by each,” and to strap one of the bombs to himself to detonate at the end of his attack, the statement of facts reads.

Ottawa has boosted monitoring of Iran’s threats to diaspora in Canada, official says

OTTAWA – A senior executive with Public Safety Canada says federal officials have ramped up their monitoring of Tehran’s threats against members of the Iranian diaspora in Canada.

Sébastien Aubertin-Giguère, who oversees Canada’s response to foreign interference, says Iran and other countries have intensified their pressure tactics targeting their critics abroad.

Heritage Minister Marc Miller is refusing to say who approved a federal summer jobs grant to an organization tied to a Montréal activist with a documented history of “antisemitic” remarks, despite records showing his office signed off on the funding.

Blacklock’s Reporter says internal documents reveal a $2,882 grant under the Canada Summer Jobs program was awarded in 2018 to the Community Media Advocacy Centre, an organization linked to activist Laith Marouf, whose past statements included calls for violence against Jews.

Terry Newman: Pro-terror event held at government-funded community centre in Montreal

On Sunday, a community centre in Montreal hosted a Palestinian prisoners speaking event that celebrated convicted terrorists involved in stabbings, murders and a failed suicide bombing. The event was organized by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), a group with documented ties to terrorist entities.

Three days prior, two government departments and the centre’s administration were contacted by a lawyer warning them that the event posed a serious risk of promoting hatred and glorifying terrorism, to which none of the parties responded.

Counter-terror police arrest seven over plot to attack Jewish target

Counter-terror police have arrested seven people suspected of plotting an arson attack on a Jewish target.

The arrests, in Harpenden and Stevenage, Hertfordshire, and in Birmingham, were part of a proactive investigation into an alleged conspiracy to commit arson.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said that while the intended target was believed to be related to the Jewish community, the specific location was not known.

Reform candidate calls for mass deportation of Muslims

Nigel Farage has been urged to drop a Reform UK candidate who called for “every Muslim” to be deported from Britain because the public cannot tell them apart from terrorists.

Kate Michaela, who is standing in Adur district council, in West Sussex, on May 7, shared several offensive posts, including one that said “every Muslim must leave the UK by 2030”.

The Reform candidate also shared a post by Tommy Robinson, the far-Right activist, describing Yvette Cooper, the Foreign Secretary, as a “dumb b—-” who was allowing Islam to “take over Britain”.

Farage will likely toss her under the bus, that’s just who he is.

ISIS recruiter being released from prison still holds ‘extremist views’

An ISIS recruiter who is being released from prison remains radicalized and poses a danger to the public, according to a Parole Board of Canada decision.

The ruling obtained by Global News said that while Ashton Larmond was now eligible for statutory release, special conditions were needed to protect public safety.

Larmond was arrested during a 2015 RCMP counterterrorism operation. He has now served two-thirds of his sentence and therefore must be released from custody.

Walking through central London as part of the Free Iran protest movement a couple of Sundays ago, I kept noticing the faces of bystanders. There was certainly very little in the way of support. But equally, open hostility wasn’t the predominant response either. Many of the expressions were marked by something harder to discern – a kind of consternation, an ill-disposed bemusement, as though what was in front of them couldn’t quite be metabolised, not without a certain level of discomfort anyway.

Islamist terrorist allowed to stay in Britain – despite having asylum claim turned down

An Islamist terrorist who plotted to blow up the London Stock Exchange was allowed to stay in Britain despite having his asylum claim turned down.

Shah Rahman was jailed in 2012 – alongside three other extremists inspired by Al-Qaeda – over the plot.

Just five years later, he was released onto Britain’s streets, but was later recalled to prison in 2022 for breaches of his license.

Islamic Religion Teacher Faces Trial in Germany over Sexual Abuse of Eight Minors

An Islamic religion teacher is accused of sexually abusing at least eight children in Germany. According to the prosecution, the 35-year-old is suspected of having abused boys in a student dormitory in Giengen an der Brenz, Baden-Württemberg, while working there, committing as many as 27 offences against at least eight victims between 2021 and 2024.

According to media reports, the allegations range from severe sexual abuse of minors to rape and bodily harm. In some cases, he choked the victims—children and adolescents aged 12 to 17—to the point of unconsciousness.

Two-tier policing out in force in Epsom and Clapham

ON Wednesday, a group of mostly white working-class men protested against the ridiculous claim by Surrey Police that they do not have ‘sufficient information’ to describe the gang rapists of a woman outside Epsom Methodist Church on Saturday. The protesters were confronted by police in full riot gear.

Yet two weeks ago, hundreds of mostly non-white youths, organised on social media, swarmed Clapham High Street. They ran riot, jostled pedestrians, shoplifted, let off fireworks, blocked the streets, and assaulted first responders. A few police officers showed up to observe from their cars. Eventually 100 officers were deployed, of whom four were assaulted. They issued a dispersal order, and (later still) arrested three girls.

Such two-tier policing aggravates the tensions in Epsom.
