Canadians who are old enough to remember when Justin Trudeau was born will recall that at the time his father, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, explained to the fawning press that he had named his newborn son Justin because — wait for it — Justice. And throughout his life, JT has tried to live up to that name by always making it about Just-him.
Canada truly has become a tyrannical hellhole. Crackdowns on those who refuse to line up for the COVID-19 vaccine have led to the Freedom Convoy. Rather than listening to the convoy protesters, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has decided to double down on authoritarianism.
Canada’s Trudeau is not an original thinker; he’s a follower. He pretends to be Black, Indian, or a cowboy. He admires dictators (Castro) and dictatorships (China). That’s why I wasn’t at all surprised to recognize that both his rhetoric regarding the truckers and his response to them perfectly echo the Democrats’ rhetoric and response to the January 6 protesters. But this isn’t the first time Democrats have inspired dictators. Back in the 1920s and 1930s, Hitler looked to the Democrats’ eugenics laws, especially in the American South, to craft the Nazi’s eugenics laws.
I don’t want to clutter this post with pictures of Trudeau in blackface, pretending to be an Indian in India, or sauntering around in his little cowboy hat. But it is important to remind you of his respect for both dictators and dictatorships.
Of course celebs don’t wear masks – Covid rules are only for the little people.
The mask has slipped. Literally and metaphorically. On Sunday, at the Super Bowl, in an LA stadium heaving with people, there wasn’t a mask to be seen among the celeb set. The kind of self-righteous maskholes who have derived enormous pleasure over the past two years from telling the plebs to mask up went maskless to the game. Maybe they held their breath for three hours? There was actress Charlize Theron, not a stitch of cloth on her face, despite LA having a mask mandate. This is the same Charlize Theron who once Instagrammed a pic of herself in a fancy mask alongside the words ‘Don’t be an ass #wearadamnmask’. You see, it’s only you, the little guy, who has to wear a damn mask, not people as important and beautiful as Ms Theron.
… Right now, the people who donated to the truckers via GiveSendGo, a platform built by conservative Christians to do crowdfunding that could not be canceled, are having their names and data leaked all over the Internet so that CBC, the Canadian public broadcaster, and private citizens can harass them, and presumably strip them of their livelihoods — a repeat of the witch hunt that happened after Proposition 8 in California.
Where was this urgency to disrupt and end the scores of church burnings across Canada last year? It was nowhere. Prime Minister Trudeau called the arsons “fully understandable.” The supposed justification for these rages — supposed mass graves at Catholic schools — could not be found or substantiated upon investigation.
Civil liberties were suspended to protect foreign investment
… The Canadian people’s rights and civil liberties have been weighed against the “rights” of American capital, and have been passed over. At the time of writing, banks have been granted the ability (free of liability) to freeze the bank accounts of those under mere suspicion of involvement in the protest movement — with no need for a court order. In addition, emergency orders must adhere to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, but only according to Justin Trudeau’s interpretation. After two years of severe and unjustified infringements on freedom of association, assembly, religion, expression, and equality under law, many Canadians are now doubtful as to whether they are still citizens of a liberal democratic state.
Little Justin and the secession of the plebs
Justin Trudeau, still the prime minister of Canada, is the first person in history to invoke the Emergencies Act, a law enacted in the 1980s to allow the government to take special, temporary action to deal with an “urgent and critical situation” that “seriously endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians.” Little Justin is embarrassed by the thousands of truckers in Canada who are protesting, first of all, the country’s vaccine mandate but, more to the point, the government’s intrusion into the lives and livelihoods of the people. Justin is embarrassed. That’s the real national emergency.

MP John McKay, chair of the Commons national defence committee, said in an interview with the Star, that the use of Emergency Act, given the protests that spread across the country, is “absolutely necessary. You cannot govern a country with mass insurrection across from one end of the country to the other.”
“My own view is that it is part of a disinformation misinformation campaign conducted by either state or non-state actors which is manipulating people who have actually, say, a limited understanding of what governments can do and can’t do.”
Asked which “state” actors he meant, McKay said bluntly, “Russians” and observed that the chaos in Ottawa is getting lots of play on Russian TV.
This week, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the lightweight, unpopular elected leader of a country with a 93% vaccination rate for those over 60 and a total vaccination rate of 84%, announced that he would invoke the Emergencies Act in order to crack down on the Freedom Convoy — a group of protesters opposed to government vaccination mandates for truckers. Trudeau breathily announced that invocation of the law was in fact “reasonable and proportionate.” His public safety minister, Marco Mendicino, said that the actions were required thanks to “intimidation, harassment, and expressions of hate.”
Controversial new rules enacted by the Liberal government under the Emergencies Act will require crowdfunding platforms holding money for illegal convoy protests to report any suspicious transactions, government officials said.
That includes transactions exceeding $10,000,and those suspected to be tied to money laundering or terrorist activity.
But the details of how the new rules will apply to cryptocurrencies weren’t available Tuesday evening, a day after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the government would invoke the Emergencies Act to shut down protests against COVID-19 mandates that have blocked streets in downtown Ottawa and border crossings to the U.S.

Since the start of the pandemic, Trudeau has acted like COVID entitled him to unlimited power in the name of public safety — sort of like Gov. Andrew Cuomo on amphetamines. Now he claims he is entitled to use an iron fist to crush the trucker protest movement against a vaccine mandate.
When Canadian truckers first signaled their intent to assemble a Freedom Convoy protesting their government’s draconian Covid-19 policies, including vaccine mandates and passports, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blew them off as a “fringe minority.”
Just this week, however, Trudeau invoked for the first time ever the Emergencies Act, the successor law to the War Measures Act, in order to mobilize the Canadian military to crush the Freedom Convoy and forcibly clear the truckers and their rigs from the streets of Ottawa. Somehow, this “fringe minority” has prompted the most authoritarian response from a Canadian government since Trudeau’s father, Pierre Trudeau, deployed soldiers in the October Crisis of 1970 to quell an actual separatist movement, the Front de libération du Québec (FLQ), after it kidnapped the deputy premier of Quebec and a British diplomat.
According to an old Israeli quip, the way to remove 500 Canadians from a swimming pool at closing time is to whisper, “Everybody out of the water, please.”
The implication is both clear and amusing to each group. Israelis are famous for and proud of being disobedient and unruly; Canadians are considered and view themselves as well-mannered and orderly.
But the joke, apparently, is on all concerned, now that the latter’s truckers have entered the picture. These guys aren’t exiting the proverbial premises with a subservient bow. On the contrary, they’re not only conducting a serious protest but leading others in the world to follow suit.

But there is anger at how the Queen, 95, has effectively been forced to bail out the ‘disgraced’ Duke of York, 61, whose modest pension from his time in the Royal Navy is now his only visible income – amid calls for the public to be told who is financing the deal.
