King Charles III “expressed his concern” over the Alberta separatist movement while meeting Indigenous leaders at Buckingham Palace, according to a delegation of First Nations chiefs that travelled to London.
Grand Chief Joey Pete of the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations said he and other leaders made the King aware of the “threat” the movement represented to agreements signed by First Nations and the Crown more than a century ago.

More than 30 soldiers based in Petawawa suffered frostbite injuries during a recent exercise in Alaska, prompting concerns about the quality of equipment military personnel are issued.
Soldiers contacted the Ottawa Citizen to complain that the Canadian Army was trying to cover up details about frostbite injuries to more than 60 troops who took part in “Exercise Global Resolve” in February. A number of frostbite cases were extremely serious, the soldiers added.

When Canada was a serious country, we used to deport dangerous people even if there was a war on. We didn’t care if we were sending someone who was a danger to Canada back to a war zone; the main concern of our government was that the person being kicked out was a danger to Canada.

A federal court in Quebec refused to halt the deportation of a Congolese man who spent more than eight years in Canada while his failed refugee application worked its way through the appeal system despite his ties to the African nation’s notorious intelligence agency.
United States customs officers conducted a record number of searches of electronic devices last year of people travelling to the U.S., and a recent update to its directives adds new devices such as smart watches, SIM cards and flash drives to the list of things subject to search.
Officers searched 55,318 computers, cellphones and other devices in 2025, up 17.6 per cent from the 47,047 devices searched in 2024 and up 32.4 per cent from the 41,767 devices searched in 2023, according to statistics from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
