B.C., Ontario vow to crack down on diploma mill schools exploiting Trudeau’s mass immigration scam

B.C. and Ontario are vowing to crack down on private post-secondary institutions that are accused of exploiting international students, after the federal government announced Monday it will cap the number of student permits issued in the next two years.

Federal Immigration Minister Marc Miller announced the government will reduce the number of student visas by 35 per cent for 2024, stating the goal is in part to target private institutions he described as “the diploma equivalent of puppy mills.”

I don’t believe this for a minute.

A lack of visa requirements for Mexicans has turned into thousands of asylum-seekers, Quebec’s premier said earlier this week.

‘We’re looking at a whole series of options, which would include visas, of course,’ the Minister of Public Safety Dominic LeBlanc told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

Most Canadians who plan on voting for the Liberal party are more motivated to stop the Conservatives from winning the election rather than endorsing the party’s vision and leader, according to a new poll released on Monday.

Meanwhile, the opposite is true for most Conservative supporters.

If an election were held today, two in five (41 per cent) Canadians would support the Conservatives while a quarter (24 per cent) would vote for the Liberals, according to Angus Reid’s latest data. One in five said they would support the NDP.

Liberals announce national summit to tackle surge in auto-thefts

MONTREAL — The federal government will convene a national summit to tackle auto theft in Canada, after a surge in stolen vehicles in Toronto and much of the country sparked concerns the problem is funding organized crime abroad.

Arriving at a downtown Montreal hotel for two days of meetings with the federal Liberal cabinet, Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc said on Sunday evening that he wants national, provincial and municipal governments and police forces to attend the summit, which is set for Feb. 8 in Ottawa.

Once they find out that Canada’s car theft rings are primarily racialized “minorities” the Liberals will Deep Six the inquiry.

As Canada’s health systems strain, more private care would make more resources available to treat sick people and that would be bad says Assclown Liberal minister

Health Minister Mark Holland says while some provinces are using private health care as a stop-gap to try to address system strains, health-care delivery must stay publicly funded.

His comments come after two doctors last week warned that the crisis in Canada’s emergency rooms has become “horrific and inhumane,” and after the Ontario Hospital Association warned last week that a “huge spike” in population and aging residents is a major challenge for provincial health-care providers.

Yea we wouldn’t want elderly people stuck in hospital hallways for a day or two as happened to my Mom.

OTTAWA – As the United States election cycle goes into full swing ahead of a pivotal election later this year, federal Liberals north of the border have been increasingly comparing Canadian Conservatives to Trump Republicans.

For several months, the refrain from Liberal MPs is that the federal Tories are doing “American-style” politics, and their leader, Pierre Poilievre, is representing “Trump North.”

Conservative MPs are using “MAGA” tactics, the Liberals say, referring to Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. They’re invoking it just as the ex-president looks for another kick at the presidential can.

Conrad Black: Liberals taxing Canadians into oblivion

The Fraser Institute of Vancouver, one of the outstanding public policy think-tanks of North America, last week issued a summary entitled “24 facts for 2024 — Canadians should understand the impact of government policies,” and the message is sobering. I am much indebted to Fraser’s Niels Veldhuis and Peter Brown for most of the statistics in this column. Fraser starts with the distressing statement that while per capita income in Canada has effectively stagnated from 2016 to 2022, moving only three per cent from $54,154 to $55,863, the United States per capita income in the same time has risen more than four times as much, from $65,792 to $73,565. “The average Canadian now earns $17,700 less than the average American.” According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, Canada will be the worst-performing advanced economy in the world from 2020 all the way to 2060.

Canada unveiled a list of foreign universities and research institutions linked to military, national defence, and state security entities. Predominantly composed of entities based in China, these organizations are identified as presenting the highest risk to Canadian national security.

The Named Research Organizations list, released by the federal cabinet on Jan. 16, comprises 85 Chinese institutions, including those recognized as the Seven Sons of National Defence due to their close links to the Chinese military apparatus, as well as others allegedly associated with state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting in China.

UFC Champion Strickland Says He’s Standing Up for Canadians’ Freedom

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland caught attention before his main event fight on Jan. 20 in Toronto as he sparred with journalists, criticized the prime minister, and told Canadians he’s standing up for their freedom.

The American mixed martial artist told a rowdy crowd at the event’s press conference on Jan. 18 that he would continue to “stick up for you [expletive] guys.”

He appeared donning a white t-shirt with the printed words “Strickland” and “Make Canada Great Again.”

Rather than expressing rage or even annoyance as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did a new version of his old Aga Khan private resort vacation debacle, citizens are responding with a resigned shrug of the shoulders. While whiffs of possible government corruption involving the controversial ArriveCan APP are emerging and federal officials are being suspended, Canadians aren’t even batting an eye. People have given up hoping for accountability as the government continues to skate on, scandal after scandal, without resolution.
