White and non-black people are being told not to share any of the numerous Oprah Winfrey memes from her bombshell interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – because they are a form of ‘digital blackface’.

The Slow Factory Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to social and environmental justice, this week issues a warning about digital blackface, describing it as an online phenomenon where white and non-black people share GIFs and photos of black people to express emotion, and stating that it often perpetuates negative stereotypes that they are ‘aggressive, loud, and sassy.’

You probably started seeing the headlines a few weeks ago suggesting that Oakland Chinatown was being targeted with hate crimes. Inflammatory security-camera footage showing a Black man assaulting an elder was suddenly everywhere. Reddit and NextDoor were crawling with trolls claiming knowledge of supposed widespread anti-Asian American bigotry in Black communities.

…Our Black and Asian communities have come together to push back against anti-Black and anti-Asian violence in recognition that all violence comes from the same root causes: white supremacy and capitalism. Black folks are dying from gun violence in East and West Oakland, and folks in Chinatown are experiencing a rise in robberies and assaults. But it’s all coming from the same source.

Arizona is recommending teachers promote ‘equity’ and social justice through an ‘antiracist’ agenda that sees racism in toddlers and recommends progressive and Black Lives Matter materials as the cure.

An ‘equity and diversity’ toolkit for teachers, parents, and administrators posted by the Arizona Department of Education fully embraces the belief in “persistent racial biases in our society,” going so far as to demand of parents that they instill “antiracist attitudes and actions” from birth so their children don’t “absorb bias” from the world.

Teens sue exclusive Catholic high school for $20M over ‘blackface’ acne mask allegations

Two teens who were booted from an exclusive California Catholic school over a “blackface” photo are suing the school for $20 million — claiming they were actually wearing acne treatment masks.

The former students, identified only as H.H. and A.H., accuse St. Francis High School in Mountain View of overreacting to the “innocent” selfie and “scapegoating” the teens amid racial tensions in the wake of George Floyd’s police custody death, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Hope they win big.

There Is No Such Thing as “White” Math

I naively believed that STEM would be spared from the ideological takeover. I was wrong, says Princeton professor Sergiu Klainerman.

In my position as a professor of mathematics at Princeton, I have witnessed the decline of universities and cultural institutions as they have embraced political ideology at the expense of rigorous scholarship. Until recently — this past summer, really — I had naively thought that the STEM disciplines would be spared from this ideological takeover.

I was wrong. Attempts to “deconstruct” mathematics, deny its objectivity, accuse it of racial bias, and infuse it with political ideology have become more and more common — perhaps, even, at your child’s elementary school.

You’ll never believe what made Bill Maher’s audience clap

The headlines were about the fact that, when Megyn Kelly appeared on Bill Maher’s HBO show on Friday, she complained about the way her children’s pricey private schools in New York were indoctrinating them with pro-transgender values and anti-white animus. Bill Maher to his credit, agreed with Kelly that matters are getting seriously out of hand, at least when it comes to the anti-white hatred that’s becoming the norm in education. Maher’s always been a bit of maverick, though. The real surprise was the enthusiasm his audience showed for that sentiment.

Arizona professors develop VIRTUAL REALITY program to demonstrate ‘systemic racism’ & ‘microaggressions’

Five professors at the University of Arizona have launched a virtual reality project to show what it’s like to experience anti-black racism, providing yet another tool to help push academia’s social narratives.

Funded with a $50,000 grant from the state university, the researchers aim to create settings, such as department meetings and classrooms, where participants wearing virtual reality headsets can see what it’s like to be black – or at least what it’s like in the version of reality created by the authors.

Students at St. Margaret’s High School in Tappahannock, Virginia were assigned this month by the Black Student Union to present projects on “black trailblazers” in honor of Black History Month. Julia Saville, a junior, chose Owens.

What 1619 Project hucksters don’t understand about the history of slavery

The new “chroniclers” of America’s past would transform our history to paint the United States a systemically bigoted state founded on racism in 1619. The most fraudulent aspect of this dishonest scheme is that it fails to address the salient characteristic of slavery in the United States and Europe: the near elimination of slavery in the West by the mid-19th century. This means that slavery as an institution was carried on in Europe for about three centuries from the beginning of the Enlightenment and then, in the blink of a historical eye, banned and made illegal. Within less than a century from 1800, legal slavery had been ended worldwide thanks to the ideas of the European Enlightenment thinkers.

After the initial shock and revulsion wore off, I felt oddly glad this week that a prominent Left-wing anti-racism charity had decided publicly to hurl a vile racist slur at me.

At last, I thought, people are going to hear about the abuse that is doled out to centre-Right individuals like me all the time, almost always from black and ethnic minority figures on the hard Left.
