When will the Star arrange an intervention?

Heather Mallick – CPC beware — meet Maxime Bernier’s new hard-right PP

….Visit the PPC website and see what kind of people are Bernier’s people. May I say that Trump is an honorary member of the “Pee Party”? There, I said it.

Bernier hates equalization payments and carbon taxes, will end “corporate welfare” but lower the corporate tax rate from 15 per cent to 10 per cent, will bring the private sector into health care, abolish the capital gains tax and the maple syrup cartel, kill most foreign aid, and end immigration of people he considers dark and dodgy.

Have We Reached Peak Woke? Making street harassment a hate crime could unfairly target minorities warns batshit crazy woman

I don’t wish to see catcalling made a hate crime either, that said you just know the head-space her bent stance is coming from. God forbid you’d want to target “minority” rape cultures. Best to keep blaming white men.

Colleges Are Rejecting Applicants Who Follow Controversial People On Twitter

While major Internet platforms are busy silencing Alex Jones of Infowars.com, prestigious colleges are rejecting applicants who connect on social media with him and others with opinions not considered mainstream. We are not talking about applicants who are retweeting alleged hate speech,  alleged “Fake News”, or alleged hoaxes. We are talking about just following a Twitter feed of someone whose views are frowned upon by members of an admissions committee.

While one of my legal clients (a 17 year old teen) was being interviewed by one of the most competitive colleges in the country he was asked why he was following Alex Jones on Twitter. My client, a teenager expected to talk about his stellar grades, top test scores, amazing extracurricular activities and volunteer work, but the interviewer focused on who he was connecting with online. My client had never “liked” or re-tweeted any of Mr. Jones’ content. His alleged “transgression” was that he followed Mr. Jones on Twitter. That was it.

Subsequently, the student’s parents engaged me about this troubling situation. Immediately, I performed a digital background check on the admissions interviewer and found her to be a Bernie Sanders follower. Interestingly, Mr. Jones’ is not a big fan of Mr. Sanders.  To each his own; however, political discrimination has no place during the college admissions process and I told the college’s admissions director that the situation must be properly resolved immediately. The college didn’t want any negative publicity about this matter so it quickly resolved the situation to my client’s satisfaction.

This example demonstrates why teens need to not just audit their digital profiles and lock down their social media accounts during the college application process, they must also ensure that their web surfing history is not collected by an admissions committee because innocent digital activity is being used to reject students from their dream colleges. A teen’s web search history may include topics such as politics, religion, health status, creed, etc. According to The New York Times, some colleges are trying to buy these data points from the organizations that provide the SAT or ACT who obtain this data directly from student test takers.

Rare sighting of John Tory’s Backbone reported…

Shocka! Mayor John Tory won’t apologize for calling gunmen who wounded 2 young girls ‘sewer rats’

Activist and U of T professor say such language is dehumanizing, unhelpful

Mayor John Tory says he has no plans to apologize for language he used to describe men who opened fire in a Scarborough playground in June and wounded two young girls.

A day after the June 14 shooting, following a meeting with the girls’ mother, Tory told reporters near the crime scene that he and the family were heartened by the fact that “the police are working aggressively and they’re working with full resources deployed to track these people, these profoundly anti-social kind of sewer rats down.”

On Monday, Toronto journalist and activist Desmond Cole sparked an online debate about Tory’s comments, asking the mayor in a tweet: “did you apologize for calling black people “profoundly anti-social sewer rats” or nah?”

Apparently we’re not allowed to disparage scum sucking animals who shoot kids.

BC Kangaroo Court says ‘Truth…is simply not relevant’ in hate complaint against man who pointed out born sex of some guy who wears dresses

Activist judge to Christian charged with LGBT ‘hate’ speech: ‘Truth…is simply not relevant’

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 14, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – A Canadian Human Rights Tribunal ruled that the “truth” of statements made by a Christian about a transgender political candidate’s biological sex is “not relevant” and cannot be used as a “defence” against allegations that the Christian was engaging in “hate” speech.

Christian and pro-family activist Bill Whatcott was hauled before the Tribunal last year on the grounds that he had engaged in “hate” speech for publicly exposing a transgender political candidate who claimed to be female, but who was born a biological male. The complainant, Mr. Ronan Oger, who now goes by Ms. Morgane Oger, was a candidate in the 2017 provincial election.

Oger is the Vice-President of B.C.’s New Democratic Party (NDP).

Liberals say Ford’s star London candidate ‘has to go’ after racist and sexist comments surface from 2016

The Ontario Liberals are suggesting Progressive Conservative leader Doug Ford replace Andrew Lawton, Ford’s hand-picked candidate in London West, after the Liberals revealed more recent racist and sexist comments made by the former media personality during his time with Rebel Media.

With the polls tightening my bet is Ford will toss Andrew Lawton under the bus. It will be the wrong move. Tossing Granic Allen sent a message of weakness and disloyalty. Ford has already set Lawton up as he did Granic Allen by “disavowing” their comments. The PCPO Assassin Special is right on schedule.

Swedish feminists want to ban parties and organisations that criticise migration

Soraya Post, a Member of the European Parliament for Sweden’s Feminist Initiative, suggests that the country ban political parties that criticise migration, Friatider reports.

Post says in magazine ETC: “it is a big threat to democracy and so-called human rights to normalise parties such as the Swedish Democrats (SD). The SD still have a homophobic, nationalist, racist and xenophobic policy, this has not been changed. Their policies are still not inclusive, it still excludes minorities”.

Nitschke’s ‘suicide machine’ draws crowds at Amsterdam funeral fair

Euthanasia advocate displays ‘Sarco’, a pod that fills with nitrogen, which he hopes will one day be available as a 3D-printable device

A controversial suicide pod that enables its occupant to kill themselves at the press of a button went on display at an Amsterdam funeral show on Saturday.

Called the “Sarco”, short for sarcophagus, the 3D-printed machine invented by Australian euthanasia activist Philip Nitschke and Dutch designer Alexander Bannink comes with a detachable coffin, mounted on a stand that contains a nitrogen canister.

“The person who wants to die presses the button and the capsule is filled with nitrogen. He or she will feel a bit dizzy but will then rapidly lose consciousness and die,” said Nitschke. The Sarco was a device “to provide people with a death when they wish to die,” Nitschke said.
