Investigating Canadian YouTube rival Rumble and its growing popularity among the world’s far right

As he wandered the red zone of the protest site in Ottawa, David Freiheit appeared bashful about the reception he received, but also energized by it.

People wanted pictures with him, embraced him with whispers of support in his ear, and treated him like a celebrity. He was livestreaming for hours at a time, his quick legal mind providing commentary in between interviews with the people drawn to the protest, and to him.

I do not have a Rumble account. Given Justin’s pending internet control grab I assumed Rumble would be a ready target as it is Canadian and consequently all your data will be if it isn’t already in Justin’s pocket. I don’t think I was wrong as this hit piece attests. My Youtube channel was demonitized before demonitization was cool. Hell I was suspended for copyright violation for posting my own video. We’re watched we know it.

Group involved in Ottawa protest asks court to halt federal use of Emergencies Act

OTTAWA — A group involved in the anti-government protest against COVID-19 measures in Ottawa is asking a court to put the brakes on federal use of the Emergencies Act to clamp down on demonstrators.

In submissions Friday to the Federal Court, Canadian Frontline Nurses and member Kristen Nagle seek an injunction staying the Liberal government’s use of the emergencies law and associated measures while their full case plays out in court.

Just over half of Canadians believe the country is ‘beyond broken’

After weeks of protests snarling downtown Ottawa and blockading border crossings, nearly two-thirds of Canadians have lost faith in the ability of the country to maintain peace, order and good government and 53 per cent have lost faith in the enforcement of the law, according to a new poll.

WARMINGTON: Police horses trample demonstrators at Freedom Convoy protest in Ottawa

Turns out the lasting image of the Freedom Convoy protest at Parliament Hill will not be bouncy castles but that of a woman with a walker being trampled by a police horse.

The violence the Prime Minister has expressed concern about during the three-week protest in Ottawa didn’t unfold until Justin Trudeau’s Emergencies Act police army was sent in to disperse the crowd.

The three major incidents Friday, under a form of martial law, were grotesque.

Why libertarian and populist conservatives alike should be wary of Canada’s Freedom Convoy crackdown

If Canada, like much of Europe, often foretells the future of the United States, then conservatives ought to be watching Ottawa’s response to the ongoing trucker protest. This populist revolt against pandemic restrictions, among other things, has already scrambled debates over civil disobedience and demonstrations that impact innocent third parties.

The Palestinian Leaders’ Five-Star Jihad

The leaders of the Palestinian terror groups Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad are continuing to urge Palestinians to take to the streets to engage in the jihad (holy war) against Israel.

These leaders are telling the Palestinians that those who are killed while carrying out attacks against Israel will be considered “heroes” and “martyrs.” They are also telling them that the Palestinians must continue the jihad “until the liberation of Palestine,” a euphemism for the elimination of Israel.

These are the messages that were recently sent to the Palestinians by Hamas leaders Khaled Mashaal and Ismail Haniyeh. Mashaal and Haniyeh are sending the messages from their five-star hotels and luxurious villas in Qatar.

Indian court sentences 38 Muslim terrorists to death over 2008 bombings

A court in India has sentenced to death a record 38 people for a deadly terror attack in the Indian city of Ahmedabad in 2008, in which up to 20 bombs were set off across the city in hospitals, shopping centres and parks, leaving 56 dead.

It was the first time so many accused have received death sentences in a single case in the country. The sentence must be confirmed by a higher court. Judge AR Patel also sentenced 11 people to life imprisonment in the case.

… A previously unknown Islamist terror organisation, the Indian Mujahideen, claimed responsibility for the attack but Gujarat police said a nationwide network of radical Islamist groups were involved in the blasts. The Indian Mujahadeen is believed to be a faction of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (Simi), a group of young extremists who had declared jihad against India. Among those given death sentences on Friday was Safdar Nagori, the former Simi leader.

Ousted San Fran School Board Member Says Those Who Opposed Her Are ‘Alinged With’ White Supremacists

Gabriela López – Racist

San Francisco Board of Education President Gabriela López, along with two other school board members, lost a recall election in a landslide with 72 percent of the vote cast against them.

One would think that if 75 percent of the voters were mad enough at you to trek to a polling place in the middle of winter to kick your butt to the curb, that might be a humbling experience for some people.

The great Olympic figure-skating debacle

The lede from the AP’s story about what happened last night is unbeatable: “The gold medalist said she felt empty. The silver medalist pledged never to skate again. The favorite left in tears without saying a word.”

Congratulations to Russia, which took first, second, and fourth places in women’s figure-skating while turning the competition into a sh*tshow so repellent that sportswriters were using terms like “child abuse” afterward to describe what went down.

These Canadian Protesters Became Very Violent But It Wasn’t the Truckers

A group of anti-pipeline protesters attacked a pipeline worksite in British Columbia, Canada early Wednesday morning in what appears to be a highly coordinated assault with axes and blockades that resulted in widespread destruction.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said they are “investigating an incident where individuals allegedly engaged in a violent confrontation with employees of Coastal GasLink, and with attending police officers along the Morice River Forest Service Road near Houston, BC.”

Freedom isn’t ‘white’

The Canadian truckers are expressing the universal human aspiration to act like an American even if you aren’t one

An op-ed in the Washington Post about the Canadian truckers’ protest tells us that the idea of freedom is “White” with a capital W and that the truckers’ belief in freedom is “a key component of White supremacy.” This is about as sensible as saying that the idea of gravity is “English” or that the Post reports the news. True, Newton’s apple fell in England and the Post looks like a newspaper, but gravity is universal. The same goes for stupidity, though that takes many forms, and for the impulse to be free, though that too takes many forms, some of them stupid.

Taylor Dysart, the author of this insult to reason, is a white PhD student at private Ivy League university. Color me shocked.

Genocide Games Crumble to All-Time Low of 6.93 Million Viewers for NBCUniversal

To put that 6.93 million number into perspective, 7.4 million tuned in to the cable TV show Yellowstone last November. That wasn’t even the season finale. That was the fourth episode of the fourth season.

Washington DC police cancel ALL leave for next week over Ottawa-inspired Freedom Convoy that is heading towards the capital

Washington DC police have nixed officers’ leave over the next week to prepare for a caravan for Freedom Convoy protesters currently headed toward the nation’s capitol, sources close to the DC police department have revealed.

According to the insiders, the department is currently mobilizing hundreds of its officers to spearhead a large response plan against truck convoys across the nation poised to travel to the US Capitol next week in support of vaccine mandate protests started in Canada late last month that have since spread across the globe, NewsNation reported.

Next week, according to the outlet, forces of 500 officers each day will be formed to comprise civil disturbance units, set to quell the planned demonstrations, if needed. Protests in Canada have remained largely peaceful, with liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blasted as an authoritarian for his attempts to stomp out the protests and stop them from being funded.

Police experiment reveals Alec Baldwin could have fired gun in Rust shooting without actually pulling the trigger

One of the most shocking claims to surface from the tragic incident that took the life of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust came from Alec Baldwin, one of the stars of the western.

During a recent ABC News interview, the actor said he “didn’t pull the trigger” of the gun that fatally wounded Hutchins, even though he was pointing what he thought to be a harmless prop in her direction when it fired during a rehearsal for the film. New details from the ongoing investigation suggest this assertion is not as implausible as one might think.

Police make over 100 arrests in Ottawa, accuse protesters of assaulting officers

Large groups of police officers moved in on protesters in downtown Ottawa Friday, making more than 100 arrests—including high profile organizers Tamara Lich, Chris Barber and Pat King—during intense clashes with the demonstrators who refuse to leave the area.

Interim Ottawa Police Chief Steve Bell called the effort to move in on protesters “methodical” and “well thought out” during a Friday afternoon press conference, commending officers for maintaining control of the situation on the ground.

“We will run this operation 24 hours a day until the residents and community have their city back,” Bell said.
