The CBC’s Burqa Wearing Misogyny Expert Is More Butch Than Their Masculinity Expert

Misogynistic ideas made popular online are popping up in Canadian classrooms, survey says

In her Grade 8 to Grade 12 classrooms, Annie Ohana says ideas with toxic undertones are often not far away.

Like earlier this school year, when she was handing out cups for an activity, and a boy asked if any part of it would “lower [his] testosterone.” The student conceded he didn’t actually know what testosterone was or how it impacted his body but, Ohana says, he was familiar with the misinformation that circulates online that claims men who have low testosterone are less masculine.

“I know exactly where that kind of language comes from. It is very much from… the manosphere,” Ohana told CBC News.

The CBC is Progressive Hell. The manliness person has an NGO. Of course.

British troops sent to Israel to monitor Gaza ceasefire

British troops have deployed to Israel to join a multinational force that will monitor the fragile ceasefire in Gaza after a request from the Americans.

A senior commander and a small number of military personnel will be based in the country as part of a team led by the United States that will provide logistical and security assistance in the region. The two-star officer will be deputy to an American commander operating from a “civil-military” co-ordination centre in Israel that already includes American troops.

Can Carney do the hard things needed to save Canada?

“Lest it be forgotten, cultivating oligopolies rather than competition is more Canada’s economic forte. We have a banking oligopoly, an insurance oligopoly, a telecom oligopoly, an airline oligopoly, a retail-grocery oligopoly, big oil, big rail and a beer oligopoly too.”

It’s not going well. The depth of despair in Ottawa over tariffs and trade talks with the U.S. has inspired a sudden conviction that “competition” is the new “sustainability.”

Canada’s climate-change strategy is now a “climate-competitiveness strategy” according to Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Islam has been a problem in Britain for a long time. It’s time to face up to that

I represented more Muslims than any other Conservative MP for the best part of a decade in High Wycombe from 2001 until 2010. I was elected a few months before 9/11, and stood down after a procession of horrors: the Afghanistan war, the Iraq conflict, 7/7, 21/7, the attack on Glasgow airport, two major conflicts between Israel and Hamas and one between Israel and Hezbollah. The first house in which I lived in the constituency turned out to be close by the home of the quartermaster of a plot to blow up a transatlantic aircraft.

During the 25 years that have passed since I was first elected, most British Muslims have been quietly getting on with their lives – like everyone else. But our common life together, in key respects, is getting worse rather than better.

Islam does not play well with others.

Canadian Armed Forces Struggles With Recruitment, Housing Accommodations: Auditor General

The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) is struggling to recruit enough members to meet its operational requirements and does not have enough adequate housing for its members, according to two new reports by Canada’s Auditor General Karen Hogan.

Hogan’s Oct. 21 report said that on average, the CAF successfully recruited around one in every 13 applicants over the last three years.

“The armed forces also did not have sufficient basic training capacity to meet the demand if the recruitment targets had been met,” Auditor General Karen Hogan told the Public Accounts Committee on Oct. 21 while presenting her findings.

AfD Now Breaking Its Own Poll Records While CDU Keeps Its Fingers in Its Ears

Germany’s establishment parties appear totally incapable of slowing the AfD’s surge in popularity across the country and may soon have no choice but to scrap their ‘firewall,’ which forbids cooperation. In some areas, especially in the eastern parts of the country, this policy might not matter soon anyway, with the anti-immigration party looking close to entering government.

Liberal House leader ‘starting to worry’ about support for upcoming budget

Liberal House leader Steve MacKinnon signalled Tuesday that he’s concerned the government’s budget might not get support from the opposition benches, while at the same time dismissing some demands other parties have laid out.

The Liberal government will need the co-operation of at least one other party in order to pass the budget, which is being tabled on Nov. 4. Because the budget is a confidence vote, Canadians could be facing another election if it doesn’t pass.

“When I see opposition parties ruling out the possibility of voting for the budget, that’s starting to worry me,” MacKinnon told reporters on Parliament Hill.

How will Carney solve Canada’s problems from abroad?

Does Canada need a prime minister engaged at home with his ministers to solve the myriad problems our country faces or a globe-trotting spokesmodel?

Mark Carney has spent a significant amount of time since he was sworn into office a little over seven months ago anywhere but here. He has travelled to France, U.K. twice, U.S. three times, Italy, Vatican City, Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, Poland, Germany, Latvia, Mexico and Egypt.

House Judiciary Committee Refers John Brennan To DOJ For Criminal Prosecution

The House Judiciary Committee referred former CIA Director John Brennan to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution on Tuesday over allegations that he “knowingly made false statements” to Congress about his role in the Russia collusion hoax.

In the letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi obtained by The Federalist, Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, argued that “Brennan made numerous willfully and intentionally false statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and the CIA.
