Atlantic Magazine Panics Over Communists Taking Control of Democrat Party

Commies are taking over the Democrat party!

You might think that was a charge leveled by some rightwing reactionary who somehow confused socialism with communism. Instead it was the morbid fear expressed by longtime liberal Jonathan Chait in Wednesday’s Atlantic magazine, “There’s Nothing Democratic About These Socialists.”

So panicked was Chait at the specter of communism taking over his beloved Democrat party that he did not just mention it in passing. In fact, the C-word was invoked eleven times in Chait’s article in which he accuses the Democratic Socialists of America of being the parasitic pathway for injecting communism into its host party.

Mamdani blasts capitalism, foreign wars in America 250 address – while sitting at George Washington’s desk

Zo say can you see …

Mayor Zohran Mamdani decried capitalism and the US’ involvement in foreign wars during an address marking America’s 250th anniversary Friday — while sitting at George Washington’s desk.

The 15-minute speech — which Mamdani gave while flanked by newly naturalized US citizens — argued America was exceptional because “nothing is fixed into place,” as fulfilling the values of freedom enshrined in the Declaration of Independence remains a work in progress.

Antifa Clashes With Police and Reporters at AfD Conference in Germany

Far-left Antifa radicals descended upon the annual conference of the anti-mass migration Alternative for Germany in Erfurt on Saturday, clashing with police and journalists.

While AfD delegates gathered at the Erfurt Exhibition Centre in the central German state of Thuringia to select party leadership, an estimated 20,000 leftist protesters demonstrated outside of the event, police told Die Welt.

Translation: Brutal hunting scenes and #Violence in #Erfurt: #Leftwingextremists attack journalists they mistake for #Rightwingers, beat them, kick them in the head while they’re on the ground. #Police then forcefully push back the violent offenders with batons and pepper spray!

DND official rebuked for custom-made business card featuring F-35s

Amid the ongoing review of Canada’s fighter jet procurement, a federal public servant has been rebuked for distributing a custom-made business card featuring two Lockheed Martin F-35s at a recent military trade show.

According to federal guidelines, all government business cards must follow a standardized template, with a Canadian flag as the sole illustration.

I get the required protocol but any government institution promoting “Transgenders” is not fit to judge.

In Tehran, huge throngs mourn assassinated supreme leader Ali Khamenei

In Tehran, huge throngs mourn assassinated supreme leader Ali Khamenei

TEHRAN ― Tens of thousands of mourners streamed on foot to the Grand Mosalla religious complex in Tehran on Saturday as Iran mourned its supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated in an airstrike on the first day of the U.S.-Israeli war.

The huge outpouring to view the caskets of the slain leader and some of his family members, positioned at the front of a prayer hall, is part of five days of somber funeral rites that will stretch across five cities and into Iraq, before Khamenei is buried in Mashhad, his hometown.

The public display of lamentation and bereavement was an opportunity for collective closure after some of the most perilous months in the Islamic republic’s history, but also a forceful show of defiance from a system badly battered but very much still standing.

The WAPO is mourning far more for Khamenei than they ever will for Trump.

New documents link ‘horrendous’ Toronto police corruption allegations to Ryan Wedding cocaine case

New court documents detail an explosive link between “horrendous” allegations of corruption inside the Toronto Police Service and the alleged cross-border drug empire of ex-Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding.

The documents detail not only how investigators believed that suspected Wedding drug-runner Gurpeet Singh potentially directed the attempted murder plot against a Toronto jail official, but also how he was allegedly assisted by a supervisor at the jail with whom police said he had had a prior romantic relationship.

I am encouraged at the hiring diversity of our institutions.

We now more closely resemble the 3rd World than ever before.

Pope urges Europe to do more for migrants while visiting gateway island

Pope Leo XIV has called on European leaders to rise to the “momentous challenge” of handling migration as he visited the Italian island of Lampedusa.

The pontiff urged Europe to help new arrivals integrate better and improve conditions in their home countries, during a mass on the island, which receives tens of thousands of migrants a year.

“Those who have lost their lives in this sea are victims both of decisions that were made and of decisions that were not made,” the Pope said.

NATO’s European members and Canada have signaled a readiness to fully take over the financing of Ukraine’s fight against Russia

NATO’s European members and Canada have signaled a readiness to fully take over the financing of Ukraine’s fight against Russia

NATO members are hoping to pledge €70 billion ($80 billion) in military aid to Ukraine for 2026 and “at least equivalent levels” of support in 2027, when they meet at an upcoming summit in Turkey on July 6 and 7.

The funding pledge was revealed in a released text of the summit’s declaration, which was approved by the ambassadors of all NATO’s 32 members, including the United States.

… European NATO members and Canada will provide the majority of the funding.

The move comes in response to declining support to provide aid to Ukraine by US President Donald Trump, with Kyiv’s European allies signaling a readiness to take over the financing of Ukraine’s fight against Russia.

So all of Canada’s problem’s are solved?
