A Trucker and an Investigative Reporter, One Week Before the Punjabi Narco-Trucker Indictments Came Down

OTTAWA — When Gord Magill asked me onto his podcast on July 1, I said yes for a reason I don’t often get to act on. Magill is not commenting from a distance. He is a third-generation trucker who has driven the ice roads of northern Canada, the Australian outback and the American interstate system, and who wrote End of the Road: Inside the War on Truckers.

When a practitioner who has spent thirty years in the cab wants to talk about how North American workers are getting squeezed out of a critical industry by immigration scams, or as I explain, how transnational organized crime has exploited our borders and vulnerable migrants to capture an essential economic tie between the U.S. and Canada, threaten our national security and sovereignty, and move cartel loads through the freight system, that is a conversation worth having, and worth sharing with readers of The Bureau.

Dangerous Tunisian sex predator who attacked five women in 90-minute rampage as he prowled the streets of Jersey is found guilty

Dangerous Tunisian sex predator who attacked five women in 90-minute rampage as he prowled the streets of Jersey is found guilty

A dangerous Tunisian sexual predator has been convicted of attacking five women in just 90 minutes on Jersey, including attempting to rape one of his victims.

Abdelkarim Arfaoui, 27, showed no remorse, insisting he had merely been asking women for directions because he was new to the Channel Islands.

As Arfaoui was led away to prison after being convicted of all 10 charges at Jersey’s Royal Court, he refused to apologise to his victims, most of whom were attacked on their way to work.

Why the U.S. trade rep wants to punish Canada economically

Why the U.S. trade rep wants to punish Canada economically

U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer grew up in a mobile home in Paradise, Calif. He insists that it wasn’t in a mobile home park, it was just a mobile home. That should tell you something about the man charged with implementing Donald Trump’s trade policies.

His mother was a Wells Fargo teller and his father moved from job to job, including a stint in plastic injection moulding, “before those jobs went to Asia.” A “National Geographic” subscription was the family’s window on the wider world.

DEI Fraud and Cover-Up at Cambridge

DEI Fraud and Cover-Up at Cambridge

“Wouldn’t it be the most ridiculous story ever told, if the boy who couldn’t read and write at 18 gets a PhD before he’s 30?”

Those are the words of Jason Arday—the 2002 Professorial Chair in the Sociology of Education at Cambridge University. Indeed, the story of his metamorphosis from arguably the most disadvantaged person in the UK to elite scholar-athlete-philanthropist would make even Walt Disney raise an eyebrow.

An incredible tale.

BARBER: Carney the rockslide — how elite ego and anti-American posturing wrecked Canada-US relations

BARBER: Carney the rockslide — how elite ego and anti-American posturing wrecked Canada-US relations

Interestingly, Ambassador and Deputy United States Trade Representative Rick Switzer appeared on the YouTube channel of the Council on Foreign Relations. The Ambassador is a veteran diplomat with decades of experience. He has also founded ProjX Technology Consulting and taught graduate courses at the National Intelligence University. Mr. Switzer has echoed the same critique of Prime Minister Mark Carney as I have already published. In short, he stated that Carney has made the negotiations between Canada and the US personal, has “gone out of his way to be antagonistic,” and that this approach is “political malpractice.”

The Traitorous Eight Tech CEOs

The Traitorous Eight Tech CEOs

The Traitorous Eight originally referred to the grandfathers of Silicon Valley. In 1957, 8 talented PhDs employed by notoriously difficult Nobel Prize winner William Shockley left to establish Fairchild Semiconductor. Gordon Moore, Robert Noyce, Eugene Kleiner, Sheldon Roberts, Victor Grinich, Julius Blank, Jean Hoerni, Jay Last were young American patriots who became legends by building the tech industry as we know it.

The “Fairchildren” helped start many iconic companies like Intel, AMD, and Kleiner Perkins over their illustrious careers. They launched the flywheel of the Silicon Valley moonshot factory. California’s middle class blossomed because they created high paying jobs for Americans and recognized they were stewards of a nation, not extractors of an economic zone. A golden age prevailed over economic cycles. Many generational founding teams like the Paypal Mafia can trace their lineages back to these 8 legends. All of this creativity, innovation, and wealth was generated without mass migration.

‘Death by organ donation’: Doctors raise possibility of retrieving organs from MAID patients while they are still alive

‘Death by organ donation’: Doctors raise possibility of retrieving organs from MAID patients while they are still alive

A new paper is reviving the idea of “death by organ donation” — retrieving organs from MAID patients while they are sedated and unconscious but still alive.

Current law prohibits it, due to the long-standing dead donor rule, or DDR, which holds that people must be dead before organs can be removed (the “Death Requirement”) and that doctors must not kill a person by means of procuring his or her organs (the “Don’t Kill Rule”).

When Islamists Joined the Nazis

When Islamists Joined the Nazis

If you missed Shmuel Klatzkin’s July 18 American Spectator essay, “The Nazis and the Mullahs,” please follow the link and take a moment to read it. It’s well worth your time. In our present historical moment, when leftists minimize the evil of the Iranian regime, he reminds us, in chapter and verse, of the mullahs’ historical alignment with the definitive evil of modern history. This is particularly important when our new generation of democratic socialists align themselves with radical Islam, while tossing the “nazi” label at everyone they disagree with — even, absurdly, at Israel.

Canada does not owe international students a path to residency

Canada does not owe international students a path to residency

Canadian residency was available for purchase just a few short years ago. Everyone involved knew what was going on – the colleges, the universities, the immigration “consultants,” the provinces and federal government, and prospective new Canadians. They all recognized that if an individual checked the appropriate boxes, made the correct attestations and could muster up tuition for one of the hundreds of Designated Learning Institutions (DLI) in Canada, he or she could probably stay in Canada for the long-term. In 2024, 98 per cent of those who applied for postgraduate work permits (PGWP) were approved.

Those who signed off on this criminal act of national subversion should be jailed.

US beefs up military might in Middle East as Trump says he’s weighing ‘massive attack’ on Iran

US beefs up military might in Middle East as Trump says he’s weighing ‘massive attack’ on Iran

President Trump said he is weighing a “massive attack” on Iran — as the Pentagon floods the Middle East with elite troops, fighter jets and combat medics.

“I am considering a massive attack. Bigger than anything we have ever had before. I am close to making a decision. We are fully prepared for it,” the president told Israel’s Channel 12 on Thursday.

He added that the Jewish state would join the US in the operation “in two minutes” if he asked, but clarified that “we don’t need anybody” to launch the potential escalation.

GOLDSTEIN: Do the math, Liberals — we need fossil fuels

GOLDSTEIN: Do the math, Liberals — we need fossil fuels

Computer science and artificial intelligence pioneer John McCarthy famously said that, “he who refuses to do arithmetic is doomed to talk nonsense.”

He meant that when dealing with complex systems, decisions must be based on hard numbers and data, as opposed to ideology and emotion.

That explains how Canadian energy policy became a train wreck under the Justin Trudeau Liberals, starting in 2015 when they took power.

NYC attacker Raul Morales yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’ as he randomly stabbed two men near Central Park

Two men were stabbed in an unprovoked rampage on the Upper West Side near Central Park on Thursday afternoon — yelling “Allahu Akbar” during both attacks, Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.

Investigators were probing whether the suspect Raul Morales, 51, was motivated by hate, though Tisch also said “the initial investigation suggests that mental health may have been a factor.”

Hamas’s New Leader, Same Old Jihad

Hamas’s New Leader, Same Old Jihad

Nearly three years after the October 7, 2023 massacre – the deadliest attack against Jews since the Holocaust – the Iran-backed terrorist group Hamas has calmly elected a new head of its “Political Bureau.”

This simple fact should alarm everyone who believed that the terrorist organization had been defeated or dismantled.

Organizations that have been defeated do not hold orderly leadership elections. Organizations that have ceased to exist do not choose successors, debate candidates, and prepare for the future. Hamas does.
