WTF?

On Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security released a statement that claimed the alleged ringleader of the foiled terrorist attack on the UFC fight at the White House the previous Sunday is an illegal immigrant. Since then, ABC’s Good Morning America and World News Tonight, NBC’s Nightly News and Today, and CBS’s Evening News and CBS Mornings have not disclosed this new information to the viewers of their morning and evening newscasts. By contrast, the networks have continued to obsess over the latest setbacks in President Trump’s efforts to renovate the reflecting pool on the National Mall by spending 13 minutes and 18 seconds on the subject.

Donald Trump has enthusiastically agreed with a public assessment by a man he met while golfing that the “overwhelming difference” between the current US president and historical figures who incited fear – such as Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Napoleon, Stalin, Mao and Hitler – is that Trump is more powerful.

The US president reposted a short text in the early hours of Friday morning, in which the author writes:

“Historically, powerful people were characterised by brutal conquest and the fear that they instilled in the populations that came under their influence. Common names that would come to mind are Alexander the Great, the Caesars, Genghis Khan, Attila the Hunt, Tamburlaine, Napoleon and, more recently, Hitler, Mao, and Stalin.

Police are investigating the role of a vulnerable adult’s carers in an incident in which a three-year-old boy was thrown into a zoo’s crocodile pit.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary officers are understood to be assessing the two carers’ actions after the 30-year-old man was left free to pick up the child and throw him into the enclosure.

The boy, who was rescued by a heroic zookeeper, is in a critical but stable condition in hospital. He suffered serious injuries in the fall and was attacked by at least one crocodile.

A three-year-old boy who was seriously injured after ending up in the crocodile enclosure at a Cambridgeshire zoo was attacked by at least one of the reptiles, Sky News understands.

A 30-year-old man from Norfolk, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has been released on bail after being declared not fit for interview.

A Canadian polling firm has sent Premier Doug Ford a legal letter demanding he corrects the record after Ford claimed the organization published a “fake” public opinion survey showing the premier’s personal approval rating at a record low level.

The Angus Reid Institute’s quarterly cross-country temperature check of premiers’ approval ratings revealed Ford has dropped to 21 per cent support, making him the least approved of provincial leader in the country.
