How the CIA identified and killed Al-Qaeda leader Zawahiri

… This year, officials identified that Zawahiri’s family – his wife, his daughter and her children – had relocated to a safe house in Kabul and subsequently identified Zawahiri at the same location.
* Over several months, intelligence officials grew more confident that they had correctly identified Zawahiri at the Kabul safe house and in early April started briefing senior administration officials. Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor, subsequently briefed President Joe Biden.
States Take the Initiative – The already-high-stakes 2022 election season will also feature a host of state ballot measures on hot-button issues.

With control of Congress and 36 governorships up for grabs, the 2022 elections are shaping up to be transformational. In some states, voters will get their say on hugely consequential issues lower down the ballot, in direct-democracy initiatives on various hot-button issues, ranging from abortion to gun rights to labor and tax policy. And given recent news, we’re likely to see more such initiatives in coming elections.

Move Over, Monkeypox: ‘Islamophobia’ Breaks Out in Southern Indiana

We can’t have people committing thoughtcrime.
Inflation is skyrocketing, COVID Joe is more feeble and bumbling than ever, America is weak and rudderless on the world stage, Leftist authoritarianism is advancing, the next pandemic hysteria is breaking out (or trying to), and at the Southern Indiana Realtors Association (SIRA), they’ve got their priorities straight: they’re all upset about a display of “Islamophobia” by their president and CEO.

Enough of Joe Biden’s ‘He said-Xi said’

In a sign of how far and fast relations between China and the United States are falling, the nations can’t even agree on what their leaders said to each other in a conversation. It’s a tale of two versions of one telephone call.
The White House insists President Biden scolded Chinese President Xi Jinping about forced labor and genocide involving the Uyghur Muslims. China says that’s fake news and that Biden never raised either topic during the Thursday call between the two men.
A terrible feeling giving Communist China the benefit of the doubt.
Biden and the Masochistic Nail

“How can one help the Iranian people restore their normal life?”
This was the question that a Japanese friend put to me in 2019 in what at the time seemed to be a casual chat in a Persian restaurant in London. Three years later, I have just learned that the question had been something more than a dinner-table note to prolong the conversation. The friend in question had been sounding out a few people about the tactics that then Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe should pursue during a visit to Tehran to persuade the ruling mullahs to lead Iran back into “normal life.”
Tom Cotton Says Biden Leaked Pelosi’s Taiwan Trip to Beijing
In her Friday press conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) remained mum about whether her trip to Asia would include a stop in Taiwan citing security concerns for her congressional delegation of lawmakers heading abroad to show emphasis on the U.S. interest in Asia. According to U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), though, not everyone has been so tight-lipped about Pelosi’s travel plans.
SPAM goes on lockdown due to inflation
It’s the nation’s crises in a can.
Inflation and crime have gotten so bad in Gotham that even cheap meat like Spam has to be locked up.
At Duane Reade’s store in the Port Authority bus depot, the shelf-stable product — only $3.99 a can — is now being stocked in plastic, anti-theft cases.
