Taming the media – Handle the press on your terms, not theirs

The Bezos Post sent Meryl Kornfield to the cornfields of Iowa to get a quote from Vivek Ramaswamy so she could write that he’s a white supremacist. She made the mistake of asking him the question in public, at a Ramaswamy rally, because that gave him the opportunity to humiliate her in public.

And he did.

The Cuban spying case that has shocked the US government

When the former US ambassador to Bolivia, Manuel Rocha, was arrested in Miami recently and charged by his previous employer – the US government – with having spent more than 40 years as a Cuban agent, it amounted to one of the biggest spying scandals involving the communist-run island this century.

The US Attorney General, Merrick Garland, called Mr Rocha’s alleged crimes “one of the highest-reaching and longest-lasting infiltrations of the US government by a foreign agent”.

While Manuel Rocha is yet to enter a plea, many observers remain baffled as to how he could have risen so high in the US diplomatic service while evading detection for so long, apparently honing a reputation as a hard-nosed conservative while secretly harbouring a deep-seated allegiance to the Cuban Revolution.

Dutch spies hid engineer’s role in paralysing Iran nuclear project

Erik van Sabben released a Stuxnet computer worm that compromised Tehran’s weapons programme. Weeks later, he was dead

A Dutch engineer played the “crucial role” in a mission to sabotage Iran’s nuclear weapons programme with a sophisticated computer virus as part of a US and Israeli mission, without the knowledge of his country’s government.

Erik van Sabben released the “very advanced” computer worm known as Stuxnet into the Natanz underground nuclear plant’s computer systems at the end of 2008, bringing the Iranian nuclear programme to a grinding halt. He was killed in a road accident two weeks later.

How Biden Can Immediately End Iranian-backed Attacks in the Red Sea

If the Biden administration is really serious about tackling the threat posed by Iran-backed Houthi rebels to international shipping in the Red Sea, it needs to authorise the type of decisive military action that will deter the Iranian proxy from undertaking further attacks.

At a time when Iran is reluctant to provoke a direct confrontation with the US and its allies in response to the Gaza crisis, Tehran has instead opted to use its various proxies in the Middle East to do its dirty work.

Our Incompetent Elite Is Opening Up America to Attack

My first Townhall Column of the year was my top 2024 predictions, but one prediction did not fit with its snarky vibe. Let me make it now. In 2024, we’re going to see a massive terrorist attack here in the United States. I’m not going to sugarcoat it – I’m worried that we’re facing a terrorist threat unlike anything we’ve ever seen and that a lot of Americans are going to die. It does not have to happen, but because the people running this country are so corrupt, malicious, and incompetent, it will.

Small Towns Overrun by Migrants Begin Pleading for Help as Biden’s Border Crisis Worsens

The migrant crisis that has rocked New York and Chicago and other big sanctuary cities has jumped its traces. Now, in a new development, small cities and towns across America are being inundated with migrants being bused from the southern border and impacting local law enforcement and city services.

Defense Secretary Austin Scandal Is Even Worse Than We Thought

When it was first reported on Saturday that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been in the hospital since January 1, it was natural to assume that key figures in the Pentagon and the White House, for whatever reason, chose to keep his hospitalization a secret. What possible motive could there be for doing this? Who knows? It didn’t make a lot of sense, but the Biden administration has an extensive record of covering up scandals, so it wasn’t exactly out of character for the Biden administration to cover something up.

US scientists held secret talks with Covid ‘Batwoman’ amid drive to make coronaviruses more deadly… just before pandemic

The Chinese scientist who ran controversial experiments at the laboratory suspected of triggering Covid held a secret meeting with the US government to seek backing for a project that would go on to supercharge coronaviruses – shortly before the devastating outbreak started in her native Wuhan.

The June 2017 meeting at America’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) held by Shi Zhengli – known as ‘Batwoman’ because of her work on sampling and sequencing the animals’ viruses – will bolster fears of Western collusion in a Chinese cover-up after Covid resulted from a reckless laboratory experiment.

Canada betrays US by failing to list the IRGC as terrorist group

Friendship between nations is based on shared values and mutual interests. But a friend that fails to show up when it matters is no friend at all.

This is the situation that the United States finds itself in with the Trudeau government in Canada. In March 2023, President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met in Ottawa and issued a joint statement in which they stated that both leaders’ “highest priority is to protect our citizens and our sovereign territory.” They named specific areas of cooperation, such as in combating violent extremism and cybersecurity.

U.S. set to allow Florida to buy drugs from Canada, officials here ‘deeply concerned’

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is set to allow the state of Florida to import prescription drugs from Canada, breaking a years-long logjam in a U.S. quest to access cheaper drugs from north of the border and heightening fears about the risk of drug shortages in Canada.

On Friday, the FDA released a decision saying Florida could “import certain prescription drugs from Canada if (it) will significantly reduce the cost to the American consumer without imposing additional risk to public health and safety.”

“It’s about time that the FDA put patients over politics and the interests of Floridians over Big Pharma,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Why Isn’t Vaxx Tyrant Joe Biden Worried About Polio, Leprosy, And Measles Seeping Through The Border?

Successful public health campaigns and medical advances have enabled the United States to conquer a range of disfiguring and damaging diseases. Polio, which paralyzed thousands of Americans annually, was wiped out by widespread vaccinations. In 1999 the nation’s last hospital for lepers closed its doors in Louisiana. A global campaign eradicated smallpox, while lethal tuberculosis, the “consumption” that stalked characters in decades of literature, seemed beaten by antibiotics. Measles outbreaks still occur from time to time, but they are small, local, and easily contained.

A new American subculture

In the early years after WW2, perception of the American human landscape took on a new meaning. For starters, millions of young men and many women were forever changed. At the time of Pearl Harbor, America was incredibly corny. Shirley Temple, Mickey Rooney, and Jackie Cooper dominated Hollywood. At war’s end, a disturbed sobriety ensued. It had then become understood that horrible things could happen. Combine this with the release of the nuclear genie…and there you have it.

Police clear Berkeley’s historic People’s Park in surprise midnight operation

In a midnight operation, hundreds of police officers descended on People’s Park in Berkeley, California, to clear out the activists and unhoused campers occupying the area, to make way for the construction of a housing complex for students.

By dawn, the park that was once the centre of the 1960s antiwar and counterculture movement was walled off with shipping containers and surrounded by police.
