J.D. Vance’s speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee was as comforting and familiar as chicken soup for many Canadians.

Donald Trump’s new running mate touched on many of the same notes that Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has been hitting: championing the working class, domestic production and legal immigration; maligning elites, wasteful spending, unaffordable housing and unfair Chinese trading practices.

If Canada was a deserving ally under the Liberals why did Trudeau send Joly to kiss China’s ass?

Not long ago, Democrats dreamt of replacing Kamala Harris; now they dream of replacing Biden. Ah, “such stuff as dreams are made on.” Wakeful reality tells us that Biden and Harris help keep each other in place, just as Democrats’ weaknesses put both there in the first place.

Four years ago, Joe Biden was put atop the Democrat ticket because the party’s top presidential contenders (and really the party itself) were too far-left. So, they plucked from their history the only non-extreme leftist they had.

No guarantees for Canada if Trump is president again

The most striking thing about walking the floor of the Republican National Convention (RNC) is seeing just how much this is Donald Trump’s party.

You can read about how that’s the case, you can listen to pundits say it — but to see it up close is something different. There is no ideology the 56,000 people here subscribe to, they don’t even describe themselves as conservatives.

They are “patriots,” they tell me at length — and they are convinced Donald Trump is the sole politician who is willing to “fight” for them. That’s the exact language they use over and over again when you ask why they’re at the RNC; why they support Trump — he is the guy who will “fight for us,” is what they tell me over and over again.

Our media reserves its adulation for Justin Trudeau because President Trump is icky and his followers are ickier.

Israel rejects Palestinian state in blow to Biden

Israel’s parliament has voted in favour of a resolution rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state, in a sharp rebuff to mounting US and Arab pressure.

The vote on Wednesday came a week before Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, will visit Washington, where he is due to address Congress. Democratic lawmakers sitting in the US legislative body have been critical of Israel over the war in Gaza.

Joe ain’t in charge of nuttin.

Biden’s Team Deliberately Kneecapped Trump’s Security To Allow An Assassination Attempt

Nobody wants to hear this because of the implications, but oh well, because it needs to be said: Joe Biden’s security regime deliberately and with malice aforethought created the conditions that led to an attempted assassin shooting Donald Trump in the head. It is by the grace of God that he lived and our nation is not currently in the midst of a violent civil war.

They deliberately starved Trump’s security team of the resources it needed. And they did it repeatedly, over many weeks and months.
