Suspicions Grow About German Left-Wing Website’s Shady Reporting On The AfD party

A left-wing German publication that falsely accused the nationalist AfD party of planning to “deport millions of Germans with a migrant background,” has come under fire for altering its story—again.

As we previously reported, Correctiv, a partly Soros-funded investigative website, made explosive claims earlier this month of a top-level meeting between AfD officials and members of the European ‘ethnocultural transnational’ Identitarian Movement—joined by a small number of officials from the centre-right CDU—alleging the existence of a right-wing plot to deport millions of migrants, including those with German citizenship. The article resulted in hundreds of thousands of people taking to the streets around Germany to protest against ‘far-right extremism.’

German Publication Tries To Backtrack on AfD ‘Remigration’ Hit Piece

The much-touted media hit piece that propelled a wave of anti-AfD protests in Germany— including calls for the party itself to be banned—has come under fire this week as one of its lead journalists described heavy exaggeration in the German press.

Anette Dowideit, the deputy editor of the left-wing Correctiv media outlet, in an interview on national TV on Sunday evening, stated that, contrary to media coverage, there was no direct talk of mass deportations—’remigration’— in a meeting between nationalist migration-critical Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party and key figures on the radical right.

This raises serious questions about the credibility of the reporting, especially given its role in prompting protests and calls for political repression.

PCO poll finds many do not trust the media and do not believe news outlets are closing

Slightly more Canadians say the media cannot be trusted to make decisions in the public interest as say they have trust in the media to act in the public interest, according to internal federal government polls obtained by Global News.

But the same polling shows high levels of distrust among many other institutions: provincial and territorial governments, Canadian financial institutions, the federal government and social media platforms.

Media, government and institutions lie? Imagine that … TDS, Russiagate, Trudeau, Mass Immigration, Islam, DEI, Multicultuaralism, Diversity, Climate change, “Far Right”, Covid, China, racism, mass graves … and the beat goes on.

53% of Canadians Distrust News Media: StatCan

Many Canadians have little faith in the news media, a new Statistics Canada survey has found.

Fifty-three percent of those polled said they did not place much trust in the information and news they receive from the media. Fewer than one in six people (16 percent) reported a high level of trust in the media, while 32 percent of respondents said they had only a moderate level of trust.

Nets Hide Political Identity of Left-Wing Activist Killed in NYC

Early Monday, left-wing activist Ryan Carson was stabbed to death on the streets of Brooklyn, New York while he was on his way home from a wedding. In the days since his death, the media have picked up on it and begun mourning Carson while ignoring his leftist politics and hateful rhetoric including him celebrating the death of talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh.

Jay Solomon over at Semafor is out with a piece that details how the Iranian Foreign Ministry worked closely with a bunch of American and European academics to help sell the Iran nuclear deal back in 2014 by repeating Tehran’s lines. Members of the group, dubbed the Iran Experts Initiative, were frequent sources for media outlets before and after the deal was signed in 2015.

MSNBC’s War on Truth

The left-wing news network releases a deeply misleading documentary about the reforms at New College of Florida.

Earlier this week, MSNBC released a documentary about the reforms at New College of Florida titled The War on Woke. The film would more accurately be described as part of MSNBC’s ongoing war on truth. As a trustee of New College, I feel obligated to respond to three accusations in the film that are false and misleading.

First, MSNBC host Alex Wagner claims that New College has recruited a disproportionate number of student athletes, enticed them with generous scholarship offers, and, despite an all-out effort to build a new baseball team, “doesn’t have a baseball field for them to play on.” The intention of these claims is to discredit New College; it is also driven by the same spirit of resentment against men, athletes, and conservatives captured in a recent New York Times headline about the changes: “At College Targeted by DeSantis, Gender Studies Is Out, Jocks Are In.”

TV Host ‘Faked Racist Tweet by AfD’

A German broadcaster has parted ways with a television presenter after the presenter allegedly made up a racist social media post earlier this month and attributed it to Frauke Petry, the former leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD).

Maurice Gajda, host of the programme Explosiv, was suspended by broadcaster RTL this week after Ms. Petry accused him of fabricating a post from X, the tabloid Bild reports.

Ask any Western Canadian what the Okanagan is best known for, and most answers will be those four topics.

This piece is dismissive of the video and its source, a citizen who documents the homeless situation.

It makes you wonder if they aren’t embarassed for having failed to have exposed this very real tragedy themselves.
