The revolution’s biggest targets are also its smallest.

In my last year of graduate school, when I was plodding away at my dissertation and, although every day more disillusioned with academia, hadn’t yet decided for sure that I didn’t want to be an English professor after all, I attended the Modern Language Association convention at a Manhattan hotel to interview for a faculty job in Georgia. I met my interviewer in his room. We sat on his bed. It was weird. I felt like a hooker. He told me his area of specialization – I don’t remember what it was. Mine was modernism. He started with a simple query: “What’s modernism, anyway?”

I am so pleased to be the journalistic avenue to reveal a massive, indeed, revolutionary turn in the operation of some of Ontario’s most progressive — so progressive — school boards.

British constabularies are remarkably choosy about which crimes they deign to investigate these days. Any 999-call that does not afford the opportunity to mince around in high heels or kneel in celebration of the cause du jour, is increasingly considered unworthy of attention. Burglary, car crime, and assault are passé, as is shoplifting less than £200 worth of goods. Working-class white girls are raped on an industrial scale, because raising objections might be considered distasteful; teachers spend their lives in hiding after blasphemous free speech lessons, and autistic children suffer death threats unopposed. 

Rather than change their tactics, progressives change the language — as they’ve done so many times before.

We find ourselves in the middle of an exhaustingly familiar spectacle in which the American Left and its allies in media pretend that a word with an all but universally understood definition is all of a sudden incomprehensible. Today, that word is “woke.”

From football to NASCAR, every sport is now a platform for relentless propaganda.

For the best part of two weeks, the spat between football pundit Gary Lineker and the BBC dominated the news agenda. Despite Lineker’s refusal to apologise for potentially breaching BBC impartiality rules in his attack on the government’s immigration policy, the BBC bent over backwards to keep him employed. Supported by other celebrity football commentators, Lineker demonstrated that he possessed far more cultural power than his employer. And so, to much acclaim from the woke elites, he has been reinstated as host of Match of the Day.

IF YOU want to change a society, the most efficient way is not with guns and tanks but with a dictionary.

Progressives know the power of language and they prioritise it in their efforts to restructure society. Change the language and you change the way people think, change the way people think and you change the way people act, change the way people act and you have changed society; all without firing a shot. It takes longer than a violent revolution but it is much more effective and longer lasting.

When was the last time you were called racist? When was the last time you actually cared about being called racist? Odds are you get called it quite often and care (or should care) about being called it very little.

That’s because lobbing accusations of racial bigotry at anyone who gets in their way is second nature for the left. So when people stopped taking these accusations seriously — realizing it is simply impossible for everything to be racist — the left began decrying “white supremacy,” semantically invoking Nazism.

The Heritage Department says that museums are “colonial institutions” that need to re-focus on issues such as climate change and “diversity and inclusion” to address withering interest.

The department released a paper on March 14 to guide public consultations on the renewal of the Canadian Museum Policy that was last updated in 1990, as flagged by Blacklock’s Reporter.

It says Canadian society has changed since that time, with the current policy not taking into consideration “important societal shifts such as reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, addressing issues of equity, diversity and inclusion, or the ongoing digital transformation.”

When parents and others have raised the alarm over sex education in Ontario schools, many have hit the same wall: the province’s Human Rights Code.

School board trustees who support the current sex-ed regimen often frame complaints as discriminatory by citing the code. These trustees, along with the province’s human rights system itself, create a significant barrier to change.

The “Human Rights” scam is a case of the lunatics running the asylum.

It will come as no surprise to patriots, but it may surprise the Leftists who are sure that they can keep using Americans who love this country as their drones and cannon fodder on an indefinite basis: hardly anyone wants to join Old Joe Biden’s woke military. That’s perfectly understandable. Why go through all the trouble of going through training and risk getting sent to some unnecessary war when you can learn about Critical Race Theory and get vaccinated right at home? Recruitment levels are lower than they’ve been in decades, and instead of doing something about it, Biden’s handlers are working to drive the morale of military personnel even lower.
