The figures are “pretty grim,” according to UK economist and podcast host Philip Pilkington. “Looks like Britain is becoming a pretty unsafe place.”

Paris, the world gave you the Olympic truce for which President Macron asked — but now it’s au revoir to all that. Things previously swept under the carpet for a couple weeks of international kumbaya are now aswirl, some inextricably linked to events in the Middle East.

Antisemitic incidents, a staple of modern French life, are multiplying. On August 15, just days after the Olympic games concluded, a man was filmed hurling antisemitic remarks at a woman riding the metro in the 16th district of Paris — one of the capital’s toniest neighborhoods. According to footage evaluated by French police, the aggressor’s insults included “Hitler was right” and “you’re going to pay” as well as the additional libel of “you’re committing crimes against humanity.”

Canada should prosecute Muslim terrorist Ahmed Eldidi for war crimes … Before or after he’s appointed to the Senate?

Immigration Minister Marc Miller said he is as “disgusted as any Canadian” that Ahmed Fouad Mostafa Eldidi found his way into Canada. A House of Commons committee will now study how an alleged former Islamic State fighter became a citizen only to be caught planning a terrorist attack with his son Mostafa Eldidi on July 31.

While Ahmed Eldidi faces charges of aggravated assault in a foreign country, the allegations have the hallmarks of a war crime. Canada should prosecute them – and it has the laws and the obligation to do so.

Justin will likely appoint him to the senate.

Great story since it holds out a small hope that banning hydrocarbon use can help solve a problem of forced and under-aged female abuse that has been endemic in many cultures since time immemorial. It is just a shame about the facts. According to the World Bank climate change knowledge portal, monsoon rains in June, July and August in the period 1991-2020 were marginally less in Pakistan than fell during 1961-1990.

Seemingly, every novel has a scene in a pub or tavern where the locals gather, not to carouse or drink themselves into a silent, depressed stupor, but, instead, to come together as a community. It is a watering hole offering beer and whiskey—or, as some might say, the very water of life itself. But the UK’s new Labour government is not on board with this ancient culture. And importantly, it’s not waging a war to fight alcohol abuse; rather, it wants to keep Muslims happy.

In Bangladesh, which is 91 percent Muslim, Islamic extremists are attacking Hindus in numerous districts of the country after the riots and the coup that forced the Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, to flee, supported by the Hindus.

With numerous Hindus killed, the religious violence in Bangladesh should be yet another warning to Western attention. Hindus are fleeing the country.

Numerous videos are circulating on social media showing families tortured, humiliated, villages burned, under the enthusiastic cry of “Allahu akbar”. Absolutely frightening, the images inevitably bring to mind the atrocities committed in Israel on October 7th.

Muslim charged in Toronto terror attack plot lived in Egypt, studied at U.S. college

A 26-year-old Toronto man accused of plotting a deadly ISIS-inspired rampage previously lived in Egypt and once studied at a U.S. university, CBC News has learned.

Mostafa Eldidi and his father, Ahmed Fouad Mostafa Eldidi, were arrested last month and charged with terrorism offences over what police described as a plan to carry out “a serious, violent attack in Toronto.”

On Thursday, Mostafa Eldidi’s lawyer, Nate Jackson, appeared in court on his behalf for the first time. He told the court he would be meeting with his new client in person in jail on Friday.

One of the quirky delights of the era of Late Liberalism is watching Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Marc Miller play the hard-nosed mafia “cleaner” trying to create a semblance of order after a decade of flawed Liberal immigration policy. Miller has now been handed a case of high political temperature with the July arrests of accused father-and-son terrorists from Toronto who were supposedly preparing a murder rampage. The father, who obtained Canadian citizenship sometime after 2015, has been identified as having a documented background as a torturer for ISIS; the son is not a citizen.
