Last Friday, three men were arrested in Toronto and charged with hate-motivated extremism targeting women and members of the Jewish community. One of them, 26-year-old Waleed Khan, also faces terrorism charges linked to ISIS, an exceptionally violent Sunni jihadist group also known as the Islamic State. According to the RCMP, Khan allegedly conspired with “persons known and unknown” in Toronto and elsewhere in Ontario to commit murder — a chilling indication that other extremist elements could be involved. To keep people safe while visiting the local Christmas market, it’s installed “Hostile Vehicle Mitigation” bollards. “These measures,” explained the council in a cheerful video for social media, “stop hostile vehicles from entering pedestrian areas, so you can enjoy the famous Frankfurt Christmas Market with confidence.”
Good to hear. All the same, I do find one aspect of this statement surprising.

TORONTO — Questions are growing over whether individuals accused in one of the most serious hate-motivated and terrorism-linked criminal cases in recent Canadian history have been released on bail, amid limited public disclosure and a court-imposed publication ban.
Project Neapolitan, a major joint investigation led by the Toronto Police Service, Peel Regional Police, and the RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team, resulted in the arrest of three Toronto men accused of targeting women and members of the Jewish community in armed kidnapping and hostage-taking attempts earlier this year.
A migrant drug dealer allowed to stay in the UK for being a ‘star pupil’ at school has admitted sexually assaulting two women – the day after he was granted his appeal.
Muhammed Izhan, 22, was spared deportation after winning an appeal on the grounds of mental health against his removal to Pakistan on November 11.

Mozambique: On Oct. 8, the Islamic State Mozambique Province (ISMP) terror group launched a series of savage attacks targeting Christian communities in Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces. The assaults resulted in the beheading of 30 Christians, widespread arson, and the destruction of at least five churches and 100 homes. Many other Christians—including women and their daughters—were herded away. The Muslim terrorists later boasted of their handiwork by releasing photos of themselves beheading and shooting civilians at close range.
