On November 5, 2009, Army Major Nidal Hasan walked into the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Fort Hood, shouted “Allahu Akbar,” and opened fire on unarmed soldiers preparing to deploy. He killed thirteen people and wounded thirty-two. One of the dead was Private Francheska Velez, who was pregnant. A court-martial in 2013 convicted Hassan of thirteen counts of premeditated murder and thirty-two counts of attempted murder and sentenced him to death. Then the country waited.
‘In the name of Allah, we can kill them all!’, screams a masked student rioter named ‘Yanis’. He was filmed standing on top of a car, gesturing to the 10 or so police officers struggling to contain a restless crowd of teenagers. His chilling cry is met with cheers and exultation from the students outside the Honoré de Balzac high school near Paris. ‘Yanis, the voice of reason’ reads the subtitle on the now viral video of the speech.

You may be pleased to hear, then, that in one respect the UK is indeed being held up as an example. See, say, the Nick Freitas (not Fuentes) YouTube video ‘Britain is gone, and America is next’. Alas, Britain serves as a cautionary tale, illustrative in conservative American circles of what happens to a western country that neglects to check wholesale Muslim immigration.
Nidal Hasan’s execution for a “radical Islamist terror attack” will be carried out in public, the secretary of defense said Thursday. The man responsible for the worst attack on a U.S. military base during peacetime will face a firing squad on December 3 at the same place, same time and same day of the week as his November 5, 2009, attack that killed 13 and injured 32 at Fort Hood, Texas. “We’ll make sure it is public, that people are able to watch it. People need to understand that there are serious consequences for these types of things,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told a Human Events Daily reporter on board the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.

Four Afghans who fled the UK in the back of a lorry after gang-raping a teenage girl they groomed have been jailed.
Mehrab Safi, 21, Salman Habibkheil and Awal Ahmadzai, both 19, and a boy, 17, who cannot be named, attacked the 17-year-old girl at a house in Bristol in November last year.
She told a court how she ‘wanted to go home’, but had been plied with vodka and cigarettes before the attack.
The hasty withdrawal by the United States of its 12 B-1 Bombers from Royal Air Force base Fairford, without explanation by the Pentagon, has fueled much speculation. The most obvious conclusion is that there is an ongoing security threat to the airbase in Gloucestershire, even after the foiling of last week’s attack, if that is what it was.
The US, while initially pleased with what they said was a good British reaction to that incident on September 27, seemed as bemused as many others as to why five men, who were initially arrested on suspicion of terror offenses, were subsequently released on bail.
Sixteen years after his deadly rampage at Fort Hood, the United States Army is preparing to formally recommend the execution of Islamist terrorist Nidal Hasan — at last.
President Donald Trump, when he receives that request, should swiftly order Hasan’s death: That would be necessary justice.
