The Australian government has cancelled Katie Hopkins’ visa and deported the far-right commentator after she boasted about breaching hotel quarantine conditions.
The cancellation was announced by the home affairs minister, Karen Andrews, on Monday and followed a decision by Endemol Shine Australia to cancel her contract to appear on Seven Network’s Big Brother VIP. Hopkins was then deported from the country on a Monday afternoon flight.
Ontario is reporting 130 new COVID-19 cases today and no new deaths as the seven-day average continues to decline week-over-week.
Today’s case count is down from 146 on Sunday but up slightly from the 114 new infections confirmed one week ago.

TOKYO — Toyota won’t be airing any Olympic-themed advertisements on Japanese television during the Tokyo Games despite being one of the IOC’s top corporate sponsors.
The extraordinary decision by the country’s top automaker underlines how polarizing the Games have become in Japan as COVID-19 infections rise ahead of Friday’s opening ceremony.

Trying to shame the holdouts has failed spectacularly. Insulting and degrading them as “morons” or “ignorant” has resulted in a vicious pushback and a hardening of positions on getting vaccinated.
The province developed a functional vaccine passport system that was tested by at least one focus group six months ago, despite Solicitor General Sylvia Jones’s rejection on Wednesday of a mechanism to verify Ontarians’ vaccination status.
The left successfully used COVID to violate election laws, and they are back at it with climate change, BLM, and gun control.

Before I get to the missing link subject of this article, I want to be clear that I think there’s a broader missing link in the leftist brain. That link is for logical thinking and truth recognition. We’ve been asked — no, it’s demanded of us — to ignore critical thought for so long, that some people have forgotten how to think and question. We all need to exercise our minds, and be vocal, too.
The specific missing link I’m talking about is in the COVID dialogue. As I watch California attempt to send its populace into another panic over the Delta variant, I realize that much angst could have been (still can be) avoided if we do one simple thing: Even if you staunchly believe all the COVID news, believe (erroneously) in the safety of the vaccines, believe (erroneously) that masks are a help in stopping the spread, and respect the (craven) people and government entities providing all this information, there’s a piece of the jigsaw that’s been purposely left out of the box.

Canada has gone from a vaccine laggard to a world leader in COVID-19 immunizations in just a few months’ time — thanks to an ambitious vaccination campaign that has so far blunted the spread of the much more virulent delta variant.
More than 79 per cent of those eligible for a shot have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
While that’s a high number, it suggests there are still more than six million people over the age of 12 who have chosen to forgo a shot altogether, or wait for a later date.
As more Canadians get vaccinated against COVID-19 and society starts its climb back to normal, businesses and institutions are facing a difficult question: are they going to require people to be fully vaccinated before they can walk through the door?
