The beach at Hanlan’s Point on the Toronto Islands has served as a gathering place for the city’s LGBTQ+ community for decades, but some are worried that could soon be at risk.

A dozen people recently formed a group called Hands Off Hanlan’s to sound the alarm about the city’s master plan for the islands — a long-term planning document that’s still under development. The plan is meant to guide decisions about the future of the area, which sees close to 1.5 million visitors per year.

A dedicated space for public sex is more like it. Tell you what, you can have your space if you allow a dedicated Islamist spot right beside yours.

Justin Welby said he was summoned twice to Parliament and threatened with parliamentary action to force same-sex marriage on the Church

The Archbishop of Canterbury claims he was “threatened with parliamentary action” in an attempt to “force same-sex marriage” in the Church of England.

The Most Rev Justin Welby said that he was twice summoned to Parliament over the issue as he blamed rising secularism for triggering the historic debate on blessings for gay and lesbian couples.

He also warned that the church should not be “dictated to”, “blackmailed” or “bribed” over the issue.

Gay guy suing because he can’t donate sperm

A gay man is taking the federal government to court, challenging the constitutionality of a policy restricting gay and bisexual men from donating to sperm banks in Canada, CTV News has learned.

“[It’s] like you’re undesirable because of your gayness as a donor … It feels like such an arbitrary rule,” said Aziz M, the man who is pushing to change the rules. Out of concern for his privacy, CTV News has agreed not to use his full name.

Currently, a Health Canada directive prohibits gay and bisexual men from donating sperm to a sperm bank unless they’ve been abstinent for three months or are donating to someone they know.

I say let him donate, but also inform the recipient that the kid might be a real bitchy flamer like the complainant.

On Tuesday, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov declined to signify support for the National Hockey League’s “Pride Night” in support of LGBGT activism, citing his Russian Orthodox faith. Pride Night is part of the NHL’s “Hockey for Everyone” initiative, intended to use “the game of hockey—and the League’s global influence—to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities.”

Flyers’ Provorov cites religion for boycott on Pride night

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov cited his Russian Orthodox religion as the reason he did not participate in pregame warmups when the team wore Pride-themed jerseys and used sticks wrapped in rainbow Pride tape.

The 26-year-old Provorov boycotted the pregame skate with his teammates before Tuesday night’s game against Anaheim as the Flyers celebrated their annual Pride night in celebration and support of the LGBTQ+ community. He played nearly 23 minutes in Philadelphia’s 5-2 victory.

“I respect everybody’s choices,” Provorov said after the game. “My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion. That’s all I’m going to say.”

Big Gay vs. the Russian Orthodox Church, 1st round goes to the Orthodox.

The NHL just got shirted by DeSantis in Florida for their racism, not sure if they’ll kick up too much of a fuss this go round.

The NHL keeps providing me new reasons why I don’t bother watching any longer.

Ice Folly: Skate Canada to allow any 2 athletes to compete together in ice dance, pairs

Skate Canada has updated its policies so that ice dance or pairs teams competing domestically can be composed of any two athletes.

Canada’s governing body of figure skating announced Tuesday that its definition of “team” for athletes training in the Podium Pathway will be revised to consisting of “two skaters.”

The previous definition was one woman and one man.

Cut the funding to Skate Canada.

The Supreme Court is hearing the case of a Christian graphic artist who objects to designing wedding websites for gay couples, as a dispute that’s serves as the latest clash of religion and gay rights again makes its way to the highest court.

Lorie Smith, who operates 303 Creative in Colorado, argues that ruling against her would force artists – from painters and photographers, to writers and musicians – to do work that is against their faith.

The ghoulish exploitation of the Club Q shooting

Blaming gender-critical commentators for the atrocity in Colorado is morally repugnant.

The Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs turns the stomach. Alleged gunman Anderson Lee Aldrich walked into the LGBT venue last Saturday night with a long rifle and a pistol. He killed five people and injured 25 more. He could have wreaked even more carnage had it not been for the remarkable heroism of army veteran Richard Fierro, who pulled the scumbag to the floor by the back of the ludicrous body armour he was wearing, before doing this to his face. Fierro says he was helped by another punter, who kicked Aldrich’s rifle away from him, and by a drag queen, who proceeded to stiletto Aldrich in the head. I’m sure none of them will ever have to buy a drink in Colorado Springs again.

‘Straight people’ to blame for LGBT film Bros’s dismal box-office debut says so called “Star”

Actor and screenwriter Billy Eichner is upset after Bros underperformed in its opening box-office weekend, saying, “Straight people, especially in certain parts of the country, just didn’t show up.”

In its debut weekend, Bros came in at No. 4, grossing $4.8 million despite opening on 3,350 screens — three spots behind Paramount’s Smile, which also debuted and grossed $22 million.

Same crap was thrown when Brokeback molehill was released. They keep telling us that Gays etc are 10% of the population. If that were true and even half attended then Brokeback 2.0 would be a huge success.
