They were spreading misinformation and lies about Border Patrol agents purportedly using “whips” against the people trying to cross the river.

Erin O’Toole and the Conservative Party brace for an ugly war over his shift to the left
… To the surprise and disappointment of many inside the party, including many of his own MPs, Mr. O’Toole did a complete 180 on a carbon tax, saying he would bring one in as prime minister. This would be the same carbon tax that Conservatives had spent the past few years vehemently fighting against. The same carbon tax that Conservative MPs such as Michelle Rempel Garner called a job killer and bourgeois public policy.
But Mr. O’Toole felt that if the Conservatives were ever going to be taken seriously on climate change he had to back a public policy measure that is almost universally considered the best way of changing public behaviour.
That decision was the headliner among his many moves to present a kinder, gentler, more modern-looking Conservative Party to the country. A version that many Conservatives, especially in the West – the party’s heartland – want no part of.
Nah, he’ll stick around. The base will be forced out.
New Ben and Jerry’s flavor pushes defunding police
Ice cream maker Ben and Jerry’s rolled out a new flavor this week that the liberal company says will aid the “Defund the Police” movement.
The company debuted the new flavor Monday, saying a portion of the profits will supplement Missouri Democratic Rep. Cori Bush ‘s $10 billion bill to hire social workers to perform some public safety tasks previously handled by police.

ICBMs are defined as missiles with a minimum range of 5,500 kilometers, and primarily designed for nuclear weapons delivery.

The two pols on the prairie who kneecapped Erin O’Toole
The federal Tory leader cannot be feeling kindly toward Jason Kenney. And certainly not toward Maxime Bernier.
Erin O’Toole must have cast a scornful eye Monday night toward Alberta and Saskatchewan. He was poised to win nearly all of those provinces’ 48 seats, though a few shy of the 47 the Conservatives got last time. The likely cause of his ire? Two former Conservative MP colleagues were out on the prairie, having punched holes in O’Toole’s chance of victory—one unintentionally, one with extreme prejudice. Jason Kenney was hunkered down at his condo in Calgary, while Maxime Bernier revelling with an indoor, largely maskless throng in Saskatoon.
Those two men cannot stand each other. Kenney privately regards the People’s Party leader as unserious and reckless; Bernier has lately calling the Alberta premier a “despot” for instituting a vaccine passport system. Kenney, of course, supports the federal Conservative leader.
I don’t think Erin needed much help.

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau’s projected victory in Canada’s 2021 federal election gives him another chance to fulfil the promise of a $10-a-day child-care system and take a shot at taming the country’s housing woes.
Trudeau is now projected to continue on as Canada’s prime minister, although at the head of a minority government and with an electoral result very close to that of the 2019 federal vote.
We’re all gonna be poorer, well not all of us. The political and corporate class will grow fat on our blood.
Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole’s ideology shift was not enough to surpass Liberals
Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole steered his party back toward the ideological centre of Canadian politics in 2021 and made this shift a key selling point during the five-week election campaign.
But it was not enough to win Canada’s 44th general election as Justin Trudeau’s Liberals will form the next government.
While Mr. O’Toole’s restyling of the Conservatives resulted in few gains, with projections of only a handful of extra seats at most, his party did hold Mr. Trudeau’s Liberals to another minority government.
What is there to say?
I voted PPC.
The party formerly called Conservative is now remade as a centre-left ersatz alternative to the Liberal Party proving O’Toole is a successful leader, just not a conservative one.
They should rebrand and remove “conservative” from the party name. Clearly the brain trust believes O’Toole and their newly scrubbed ideology to be the party’s future so they may as well ride that pony into the sunset. Given the CPC’s knack for shooting themselves in the foot I’m sure they could find an even worse replacement so what’s the point of even trying. Sphincter relaxant all round!
The PPC increased it’s vote share while winning no seats. They have I hope the determination to stay the course.
Alberta should give serious consideration to leaving as the ex-Conservative party cannot help them. Either that or we nuke Toronto and Montreal. We should probably do that anyway come to think of it.
The predator class won, we lost. No more need be said.
Many are calling for O’Toole’s head on Twitter. They best learn to live with him or find another political home. The CPC is no more.

I see no reason for a Conservative party leadership review of Erin O’Toole’s tenure. O’Toole was successful in turning the CPC centre left and championing the widespread availability of sphincter relaxant. Mission accomplished.
