Shocking footage shows Jewish revellers being harassed and heckled at London’s Pride march – while police officers watched on and made no arrests.

Scotland Yard said it was investigating anti-Semitic abuse after clips posted online showed Jews being told to ‘go back to your Zionist homeland’ and that ‘you kill Arab children, you kill gay children’ in reference to the war in Gaza.

One woman also appeared to shout ‘f*** you, Jew’ during a confrontation that began with chants of ‘Free Palestine’ in Soho on Saturday.

U.S. Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney proposed legislature Monday which she says would “hold Canada accountable” for “unfair” provincial limits on importing American alcohol — which were made in response to the trade war and tariffs launched against Canada last year.

The Combating Attacks on our National Alcoholic Drinks by Allies (CANADA) Act states that under Section 301 of the U.S. Trade Act, the legislation would direct U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and his office to investigate Canadian provincial liquor board restrictions on the import and distribution of U.S. products within 30 days, if made law.

After being sentenced to 12 months of house arrest in October 2025, Lich said she had to obtain permission to travel from her home in Medicine Hat, Alta., to attend the event at Lornado, the ambassador’s residence in Rockcliffe Park

Believe it or not, a taxi driver told my wife, when she was returning from her university graduation event last night, that he had been told by the police that Putin is meeting Zelensky in Ankara on July 9th, immediately following the NATO gathering here in the city on July 7th-8th.

It is, of course, an unsubstantiated rumour. But perhaps interesting. I have seen no sign of such a thing in the British press, so let’s break a story.

The federal government is assembling more legal tools to identify who Canadians are online, track what they do there, and, in some cases, punish them for what they say than at any point in the country’s history.

That is the picture emerging from a cluster of bills advanced this spring, capped by Bill C-22, the Lawful Access Act, 2026, which the Liberals pushed through third reading June 18 after invoking a programming motion that curtailed committee study and shut down debate while amendments were forced through without debate—the motion barred any amendment not already submitted by a retroactive Monday deadline. The bill heads to the Senate when Parliament returns Sept. 21, but the manner of its passage has alarmed lawyers, civil liberties groups, technologists, and opposition MPs who say Parliament approved sweeping surveillance powers it never fully examined.
