Anti-Christian hate crimes across Europe remained at a consistently high level in June, with forty incidents recorded across ten countries, according to the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe (OIDAC Europe).
The Vienna-based organisation said June saw the second-highest monthly total of 2026, surpassed only by March’s 41 recorded incidents. The cases included attacks on churches, clergy, Christian institutions and individuals, as well as threats against converts from Islam.
Another day, another example of Canada continuing its downward spiral.

This week, the Wall Street Journal published a two-part series, with the first part titled “There Is No Going Back: The Inside Story of Europe’s Rupture With America.” While it looked at the general situation in Europe, the second was all about Canada’s role, and specifically that of Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Its headline was “The Canadian Who Steered Europe Away From the U.S.,” with the subhead: “Facing threats from Trump, Mark Carney emerged as a central figure in a project to reshape the Western alliance.”

If European leaders had a bingo card of all the fights Donald Trump could pick with them, at this week’s Nato summit in Ankara they would have won a blackout. Starting as he meant to go on, Trump used a joint briefing with Nato chief Mark Rutte this morning to reheat his litany of grievances with fellow members of the alliance.
Trump today declared that he was ‘not happy with Nato because of what they did with Greenland’ and their refusal, as he sees it, to help the US with the war in Iran. Greenland, the President said, was a ‘big problem for us’, going on to claim – falsely – that ‘it’s not important for Denmark’.

Canada is looking to spend tens of billions of dollars on a contract with German shipbuilder ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) to replace Canada’s aging fleet of submarines with up to a dozen new vessels.
