A former federal politician in Manitoba has been charged after police say they seized hundreds of improperly stored firearms from his home last week.
Mounties seized 439 firearms found inside Inky Mark’s home near the western Manitoba city of Dauphin during a July 7 search, Manitoba RCMP Cpl. Barry Kirby said at a Monday news conference.
Police also seized an antique cannon, ammunition and more than $300,000 in currency, he said.
A social media influencer walked into a small-town grocery store and reacted as if she'd stumbled upon a crime scene.
Her disgust went viral for being completely out of touch with reality.

This past Memorial Day, more than 1,000 teens swarmed the blocks around Lake Michigan in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. A resident described the scene: “Hundreds of people were walking and running down our street, jumping on top of cars, twerking, smoking blunts.” One group twerked on the top of a city bus.
At about 9 pm, the Chicago Police Department closed Lake Shore Drive. As sirens wailed, the Hyde Park resident armed himself with bear spray to retrieve something from his car. An hour later, a gunman shot three teens a block from the resident’s home. The suspect remains at large, though police made 13 arrests for illegal gun possession, battery of an officer, and other felonies.
Seems like an insurrection.

A Saskatoon man is facing a two-year sentence and a $10,000 fine for his role in an immigration scheme that saw records falsified and employment records misrepresented.
Balvir Singh received his sentence on July 8 after pleading guilty to one count of counselling immigration misrepresentation under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) back in April.
The conditional sentence also includes 40 hours of community service.

BANGKOK (AP) — A huge fire tore through a music bar in Bangkok overnight, killing at least 27 people and leaving 25 hospitalized in critical condition in the Thai capital’s most deadly blaze in 17 years.
Photos from the Rong Beer Na Ladprao bar in a northern part of the Thai capital showed people fleeing as flames shot out the single-story building and thick black smoke billowed into the sky. Shoes lost and scattered as their owners sought to flee could be seen in pictures from the aftermath of the tragedy.
