Big names from many different walks of life — from musicians to late-night show hosts and from actors to podcasters — have fired back at Donald Trump over the tariffs he’s levied on Canadian goods and his move to rename Lake Ontario.

Most recently, the U.S. president signed an executive order renaming the lake “Lake America” in the U.S., following a bitter public spat with Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the collapse of trade talks between Canada and the United States.

George Galloway outraged after ‘bank shuts accounts without notice’

Former Labour MP George Galloway has threatened legal action against the Bank of Scotland after claiming it closed his accounts ‘without explanation or notice’.

The politician and broadcaster alleged on X that the bank, which is part of Lloyds Banking Group, was acting unlawfully and attempting to ‘wreck my family life’.

Mr Galloway wrote: ‘Thirty-nine years ago, I opened a personal bank account with Bank of Scotland in Byres Road, Glasgow. Yesterday without explanation or notice they closed my accounts.

If nothing criminal has occurred they should not have the right to debank Galloway despised as he is.

The White House has launched a retro arcade games website in which players can capture migrants and build a border wall.

Five classic computer games have been adapted to incorporate the Make America Great Again (Maga) agenda and made available on the White House website.

A version of the game Snake has been changed to Rio Run, featuring a digital version of Tom Homan, the US border czar, chasing migrants along the Rio Grande.

Eleanora Folan, who describes herself as a communist and ‘anti-Zionist’, won a vote last month to represent the Eastern Region on the council in a women’s role.

Ms Folan, who was previously revealed to have been behind an X account that downplayed the horrors inflicted by Iran’s extremist regime, was set to contribute to the party’s culture and wellbeing, as well as policy and strategy.
