Paganism is top choice for Christians who convert to new faith

Paganism is the most popular spiritual destination for British Christians who convert to another faith, outstripping Buddhism, Islam and Judaism, a study has found.
Religious faith is “fragmenting” in the UK as more than one in ten people who abandon Christianity in Britain take up paganism, wicca or another form of “spiritualism”, according to the report.
While Christianity is still gaining new adherents, these arrivals are outnumbered by people quitting the faith, figures showed. This is leading Christianity to dwindle in Britain overall, casting doubt on recent reports suggesting that a revival may be under way.
WTF?
And so it begins. This is a sad day when the people feel so betrayed by their own leaders, that they feel this is the only way back to sanity. PLEASE America, wake up before it is too late. What is happening in Europe WILL come here. It doesn’t have to be this way.… https://t.co/9WYnC4t92A

Ontario isn’t auditing doctors for excessive claims, A-G finds

Ontario’s Auditor-General says the province isn’t auditing doctors whose billings raise obvious red flags, including 82 doctors who claimed to have worked 24 hours or more in a single day, a diagnostic radiologist who billed for an average of 461 patients a day, and an ophthalmologist who billed $6.7-million in one year, more than twice as much as the next highest biller in the specialty.
The same unnamed ophthalmologist has been investigated three times for allegedly charging patients out-of-pocket fees for services that should be free through the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. The first review found the doctor wrongly charged patients, a second cleared the ophthalmologist, and a third is ongoing.
I’m betting Doug will pour out another bottle of booze when he hears about this.

British Man Arrested for Picture of Him Shooting Shotgun

There are some things that are so heinous that you can be arrested for in your home country, despite it happening in a different nation. Crimes against children, for example, are a prime example. Go to another country to do something like that, and I don’t care where it was, you deserve the wood chipper here in the United States.
But most of those things fall into the category of things that aren’t really legal much of anywhere in the first place.
RCMP restricts use of its Chinese-made drones — the vast majority of its fleet

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is limiting the use of its 973 Chinese-made drones to non-sensitive operations, stating the devices present “high security risks, primarily due to their country of origin.”
Chinese drones make up about 80 per cent of the federal police force’s fleet of 1,230 remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS), which are used to monitor the Canada-U.S. border and in various police operations.

The Ontario Provincial Police sergeant who led the investigation into Becky Hamber and Brandy Cooney testified at their first-degree murder trial Monday, outlining evidence collected by police in the case against the couple.
Sgt. Julie Powers told the Milton, Ont., courtroom that she spent weeks reviewing photos, videos, audio recordings, messages and call logs on electronic devices police took from Cooney and Hamber when they were charged in 2023 in relation to two boys they were trying to adopt.
Deadly mass shooting in California erupted when toddler was cutting her birthday cake: ‘They deserve to go to hell’

The mass shooting in California that killed four people, including three kids, erupted just as a toddler was cutting cake at her 2nd birthday party, according to her mom — who said the shooters “deserve to go to hell.”
The birthday girl’s mother, Patrice Williams, said partygoers dropped to the floor as soon as the gunshots rang out inside the packed banquet hall in Stockton on Saturday.
… Authorities haven’t identified any suspects but have indicated the shooting was gang-related.
Gang related? That is cartel level violence.
