Video shows disgruntled employee start Ontario warehouse fire: ‘All you had to do was pay us enough to live’
A video allegedly taken by the twisted firebug who started the massive warehouse blaze in Ontario shows him lighting the blaze while apparently criticizing his employer.
Chamel Abdulkarim, 29, of Highland, has been arrested on two felony arson charges for torching the warehouse operated by consumer goods company Kimberly-Clark in San Bernardino County.
A video posted by an Instagram account bearing Abdulkarim’s name shows him lighting a goods on fire in the warehouse while taking aim at his company.

China Labor Watch (CLW) received a complaint last fall from one of the thousands of migrant workers brought to Hungary from China to help build BYD’s first European plant in the city of Szeged — a $6-billion investment intended to supply the European market with around 300,000 vehicles per year.

Canada’s Wonderland reopens with new chaperone policy
… This season, Canada’s Wonderland is also implementing a chaperone policy beginning May 1, which seems to be a deterrent for having any issues with young teens at the park.
As of 4 p.m. daily, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old in order to be admitted or to remain in the park.

Almost a third of police probes of diplomatic missions see subjects leave Canada
OTTAWA – Almost a third of police investigations involving members of foreign diplomatic missions in Canada between 2020 and 2025 saw the subjects of the probes leave the country before their cases could be resolved through the legal process.
Documents obtained by The Canadian Press through an access to information request list 67 incidents involving members of foreign missions that required police involvement over that time period.
In 22 of those cases, the person facing the criminal allegations left Canada before charges could be laid or the court process was completed.

Canadian Armed Forces members used their own personal social media accounts, computers and networks at home during the COVID-19 pandemic and gathered information about Canadians, violating intelligence-gathering rules, according to a newly released report.
The internal military report obtained by CBC News provides a new look behind the scenes at how a controversial military operation went so wrong.
“Everything you could imagine in a military operation went wrong in this case,” said national security expert Wesley Wark.
