Majority of Democrats Don’t Want Biden on the Ballot, New Poll Shows

More Democrats than Republicans say they want President Biden off the Democratic presidential ticket, according to a Rasmussen poll released Tuesday.

Some 54 percent of likely Democratic voters would approve of ditching Mr. Biden, and only 38 percent of Democrats would disapprove of doing so. A smaller number of Republicans — just 43 percent — say they would approve of the Democrats replacing Mr. Biden on the ticket.

The war on America’s working class

Batya Ungar-Sargon’s first book, Bad News: How Woke Media is Undermining Democracy, was a barnstormer of a read. This was partly because it was punching up and pointing out the hypocrisy of America’s super-privileged woke journalists.

Reading Ungar-Sargon’s new offering, Second Class: How the Elites Betrayed America’s Working Men and Women, was an entirely different experience. Here she explores, largely through interviews, the lives of those living at the opposite end of the social ladder to America’s cultural elites. She arrives at a distressing conclusion: for countless hard-working people, the American Dream is increasingly out of reach.

America Is Still Worth Fighting For

How does a person discover the purpose of his or her life? Some discover it by chance, a casting of the lot, while others experience a call from destiny, beckoning them onward. Our men and women in uniform, who have paid the ultimate price of destiny, have secured freedom for generations of Americans and helped propel peace across the world.

Canada’s new defence policy isn’t winning America over, analysts say

OTTAWA — The Liberal government’s new defence policy has landed with a resounding thud in Washington and it could be a sign that U.S. politicians are losing patience with Canada’s stinginess on defence spending, analysts say.

letter released Thursday by 23 Democrat, Republican and independent United States senators took Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to task for Canada’s defence spending, demanding that Canada meet NATO benchmarks requiring members to commit at least two per cent of their GDP to defence spending.

An Ominous Precedent for the Left’s Politicization of the Military

This isn’t the first time in history a left-wing elite has tried to drive conservatives out of the armed forces. France saw something similar — with dire consequences.

The American military is in crisis. Recruitment is down overall, impairing readiness. Lack of interest from conservative demographics is driving much of the decline. Within the ranks, the departure of right-leaning officers and servicemen put off by vaccine mandates and left-wing political trainings has shifted the military’s composition left at the expense of service quality.

What America’s weed habit says about the fall of Protestantism

You can tell a lot about a civilisation by its drugs of choice. So we should treat as significant a new study that suggests the USA’s erstwhile preferences for coffee and alcohol may be giving way to the United Stoners of America. According to the study, the number of Americans using marijuana daily has now outstripped the number drinking daily. Nearly half the USA has now at least decriminalised cannabis; in some states, Americans can even buy their weed at a drive-thru dispensary.

I have a drive-thru pot outlet just down the street from me.

Treason of the Intellectuals and Danger From Within

The U.S. establishment’s capitulation to the global left led to a complete occupation of U.S. institutions and the ultimate corruption of the free world.

“The enemies from within are more dangerous to me than the enemies from the outside,” said Republican Presidential Candidate Donald J. Trump, at a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, on May 11, 2024.

At a Springfield, Illinois, event, some 20 years before the American Civil War, Abraham Lincoln delivered a prophetic message to his fellow citizens: “At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.”

What’s behind a historic, unusual U.S. military cash transfer to Canadian mines

The United States was growing desperate, months before its entry into the Second World War. It was gravely short of aluminum, and scrambling for suppliers.

Its solution: turn north to Canada.

American public money flooded into Quebec, building the aluminum industry that supplied raw materials for Allied planes and tanks.

The Knee-Jerk Anti-Americanism of “Environmentalists” will soon have the usual suspects in full froth.

Kidnap cartels prowl the Mexican border and police can only say: Run

Crossing the Rio Grande is not the only danger for people trying to reach America. Once they’re in sight of the brutal ‘coyote’ gangs they become walking ransom — at any age

On the edge of the United States, Paola and Vera stood with their daughters in the dried-out riverbed of the Rio Grande, looking up at the clouds of concertina wire that blocked their way.

Less than ten feet above them, on the other side of the wire, stood a soldier from the Texas National Guard, rifle slung across his body, drinking what looked like a Coca-Cola.
