‘No Exceptions‘: Trump to Sign EO Requiring Voter I.D. in Elections

President Donald Trump said Saturday he will take decisive action when it comes to voter I.D. and elections across America.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Voter I.D. Must Be Part of Every Single Vote. NO EXCEPTIONS! I Will Be Doing An Executive Order To That End!!! Also, No Mail-In Voting, Except For Those That Are Very Ill, And The Far Away Military. USE PAPER BALLOTS ONLY!!! President DJT.”

I still don’t see how the Dems consider voter ID such a travesty. Have they no shame?

Company behind Jack Daniel’s says Canadian boycott is ‘significant’ as sales drop 62%

The parent company of American alcohol producers such as Jack Daniel’s whisky and Woodford Reserve bourbon says sales to Canada dropped 62 per cent during the latest fiscal quarter compared to a year ago, as American alcohol remains off the shelves in many provinces.

After U.S. President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on Canadian goods in early March, a number of provinces retaliated, pulling American alcohol from store shelves. Alberta and Saskatchewan have since lifted the ban.

During a conference call with investors Thursday, officials with Brown-Forman — the parent company of brands such as Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve — noted other pressures, but said the boycott is causing a “significant impact.”

Chicago mayor to sign executive order directing city to resist Trump’s immigration raids

Lookin good for looting season

The mayor of Chicago is planning to sign an executive order on Saturday outlining how the city will attempt to resist Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, according to reports.

Brandon Johnson will set out guidance for the city’s agencies and law enforcement, CNN reported, “in the midst of escalating threats from the federal government”.

Last week, the White House requested that a US military base on the outskirts of Chicago be made available to assist with immigration operations, as the Trump administration plans a broader takeover of Democratic-run “sanctuary cities”.

Despite boycott, Canadians poured record $50B into US securities at height of trade war

Canadians might be boycotting American products over the trade war and avoiding travel to the US — but their investment portfolios are snapping up red, white and blue stocks at an “unprecedented rate.”

They poured an eye-popping $50 billion into US securities at the height of the 2025 trade war — the most since at least 1990.

“Canadian investors have opted to load up on US financial assets since President Trump was sworn in,” Warren Lovely, managing director of National Bank Financial in Toronto, wrote in a recent report, noting the pace has been “unprecedented.”

CHARLEBOIS: Why liquor boards shouldn’t play tariff games

It was reported recently that Quebec’s liquor board, the SAQ, will be giving away about $300,000 worth of American alcoholic beverages that are nearing expiry. The initial plan was to discard the stock, but public pressure forced a reversal.

In a province long associated with milk dumping due to supply management, rescuing American booze from the same fate is nothing short of ironic.

US court rules many of Trump’s global tariffs are illegal

A US appeals court has ruled that most tariffs issued by US President Donald Trump are illegal, setting up a potential legal showdown that could upend his foreign policy agenda.

The ruling affects Trump’s so-called “reciprocal” tariffs, imposed on most countries around the world, as well as other tariffs slapped on China, Mexico and Canada.

In a 7-4 decision, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit rejected Trump’s argument that the tariffs were permitted under an emergency economic powers act, calling them “invalid as contrary to law”.

The ruling will not take effect until 14 October, to give the administration time to ask the US Supreme Court to take up the case.

U.S. Treasury Warns of $312 Billion in Chinese Laundering For Mexican cartels

… As reported previously by The Bureau in coverage of a sweeping FinTRAC warning on Chinese underground banking in Toronto, FinCEN is now raising similar alarms. The Treasury said so-called “money mules” often rely on falsified jobs and identities to gain access to the banking system, disguise unexplained wealth, and buy residential properties. In cases where these mules opened accounts, they frequently listed occupations such as “student,” “housewife,” “retired,” or “laborer” — roles that would not normally involve large volumes of financial activity — yet the accounts showed high-value deposits and transactions consistent with laundering.

14,000 US-bound people have returned south since Trump border crackdown, UN finds

More than 14,000 people, mainly Venezuelans, who hoped to reach the US have reversed course and turned south since the start of Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, according to a report by the governments of Colombia, Panama and Costa Rica.

The phenomenon, known as “reverse flow” migration, is largely made up of Venezuelans who fled the country’s long-running economic, social and political crises only to encounter US immigration policy no longer open to asylum seekers.

They say it like it’s a bad thing!

Duty-free ‘de minimis’ shipping to the U.S. is now a thing of the past

The de minimis exemption that allowed low-value packages to be shipped duty-free to the United States is now a thing of the past as an executive order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump went into effect Friday.

Under an executive order signed by Trump in July, packages valued at or under US$800 sent to the U.S. from outside of its postal network will now face “all applicable duties” starting Aug. 29, the White House said.

National security or xenophobia? Texas restricts Chinese owning and renting property

Jason Yuan, a second-hand car shop owner, closes the hood of a vehicle after tightening the last nut on the battery terminal – a routine he is all too familiar with.

Texas has long felt like home for him, as a naturalised US citizen born in China. But a recently passed state law is shaking his belief in his chosen homeland.

Texas Senate Bill 17 of 2025, also known as SB 17, will take effect on 1 September, restricting people and companies from China, Iran, North Korea and Russia from purchasing and renting property.

It’s a legitimate National Security issue despite the Chicom friendly BBC’s effort to muddy the waters.

These are the outrageously radical DSA-NYC policies Zohran Mamdani refuses to say he rejects

There’s no hiding now.

Zohran Mamdani — a proud, card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America — has been shying away from some of his fringe party’s agenda as he runs for mayor.

But newly-unearthed platforms from the DSA’s New York City chapter paint a shocking picture of the extreme shift toward radical policies the Big Apple could face if Mamdani is elected in November.

The Americans are selling Canadian natural gas to Europe at a profit

Amid growing criticisms that Canada dropped the ball on exporting its natural gas to Europe, the Polish ambassador to Canada said in a recent interview that plenty of Canadian gas is indeed finding its way to Europe — but via the United States at a markup.

“Remember; some of the LNG that’s coming from the United States to Europe, to Poland, is also Canadian … but it’s being sold for a much higher price,” Witold Dzielski told CBC after being asked whether there was Polish demand for Canadian LNG.

Hate Imam Fadi Kablawi Targets Jews, Christians at Funeral Livestreamed by Islamic Center

“If you pass by a grave of a kafir, give him the news of the hellfire.”

On August 2, 2025, the Islamic Center of South Florida (ICOSF) once again made a public and shocking endorsement of extremism, when it livestreamed a funeral officiated by radical imam Fadi Kablawi. For most houses of worship, a funeral is a sacred, solemn moment of unity and respect. But for ICOSF, it became yet another platform to elevate a hate preacher known for spewing vile rhetoric against Jews, Christians, women, and even fellow Muslims.
