Muslims vandalized the Uncommon Church in Euless TX with obscene anti-Israel graffiti. Leftists and the Islamist group CAIR quickly came to their defense, complaining that vandalizing churches is really protected by the First Amendment.
After Raunaq Alam, Afsheen Khan and Julia Venzor vandalized the church, the Dallas Observer claimed that prosecuting them “erodes the First Amendment rights of protesters and critics of the nation of Israel.”

It’s the fall air show season, but the biggest attraction — U.S. military planes — will not appear this weekend in Southern California because of the federal government shutdown.

WASHINGTON — The US military killed four alleged “narco-terrorists” in the latest strike on a boat deemed to be trafficking drugs off the coast of Venezuela, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced Friday.
The operation targeted a “vessel affiliated with designated terrorist organizations,” killing four men who were “transporting substantial amounts of narcotics headed to America to poison our people,” Hegseth wrote on X.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. administration is set to publish its National Defense Strategy this month at a time when the Pentagon is planning for a leaner, meaner military, and President Donald Trump is inviting Canada to enjoy the protection of Golden Dome defence by becoming the 51st U.S. state.
So, National Post spoke with Jennifer Kavanagh, a senior fellow and director of military analysis at Defense Priorities and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s Center for Security Studies, to get her insights on American defence strategy and the road ahead.
Canada will not pony up.
The prime minister is expected to visit the White House on Tuesday to meet face-to-face with U.S. President Donald Trump after he publicly brought up his 51st state idea again and tariffs continue to pummel some Canadian industries.
Mark Carney’s office said he will travel to Washington on Monday evening ahead of talks.
“The Prime Minister’s working visit will focus on shared priorities in a new economic and security relationship between Canada and the U.S.,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement.
US President Donald Trump has given Hamas a deadline to accept a US peace plan for Gaza or face “all hell”.
Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Friday that an agreement must be reached by 18:00 Washington time (22:00 GMT) on Sunday.
The plan proposes an immediate end to fighting and the release within 72 hours of 20 living Israeli hostages held by Hamas – as well as the remains of hostages thought to be dead – in exchange for hundreds of detained Gazans.

An immigration judge in Baltimore has denied Kilmar Ábrego García’s bid for asylum on Thursday, but he has 30 days to appeal.
Ábrego’s case has drawn national attention since the 30-year-old was wrongfully deported by the Trump administration to El Salvador in March. The Salvadorian national has an American wife and children and has lived in Maryland for years, but he originally immigrated to the US illegally as a teenager.
Following widespread pressure, the Trump administration returned him to the US in June. Upon his return, however, he immediately faced criminal charges related to human smuggling, allegations that his lawyers have rejected.
The Canadian government is warning citizens who list “X” as their gender on their passports could have problems entering the U.S.
In a change made earlier this week, the Department of Global Affairs added an advisory to its United States travel advice page for 2SLGBTQ+ Canadian passport holders.
“While the Government of Canada issues passports with an ‘X’ gender identifier, it cannot guarantee your entry or transit through other countries,” it wrote. “You might face entry restrictions in countries that do not recognize the ‘X’ gender identifier.”
