In Britain in 2026, these are the ‘crimes’ that get the cops off their arses. They might not be able to find the lowlifes who burgled your home or the gang members who groomed your daughter. But they’ll come running if you diss Islam or have a pop at a Green politician or commit the heinous sin of being white and male on a night out. Welcome to your two-tier tyranny.

JD Vance says Britain has been ‘failed by its leadership’

Vice president JD Vance says that Britain has been “failed by its leadership” as the prepares to welcome its seventh prime minister in a decade.

He expressed concerns about the country’s political structure after Sir Keir Starmer’s resignation on 22 June and the possibility of former Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham replacing him.

“What I see is six prime ministers in the last few years,” he told The Sunday Times. “What that says to me is that something is very broken about British politics and that people are really crying out for significant structural change.”

Two Leicestershire mini-marts linked to a convicted people smuggler exposed in a BBC investigation have been closed by the local council.

Twana Jamal, once described as “the godfather” of migrant camps in northern France, was recently confronted by our reporting team while running one of the stores, in Blaby on the outskirts of Leicester.

‘Police state’ row as officers track down man who criticised his local Green councillor over outdoor drinking ban and left him fearing arrest

This is the extraordinary moment two Met police officers tracked down a photographer to a pub over his critical tweets about a local Green councillor – despite admitting he had committed no crime.

Alastair Hilton was having a drink with a friend in Chiswick, west London, on Thursday night when uniformed officers grilled him about his social media posts.

Mr Hilton feared being arrested when he was asked to step outside by two policemen as he celebrated a victory for his community over the Labour-run council and saved outdoor seating outside three much-loved pubs on the Thames.

Vigilantes take to streets as grooming gang ringleader released

Vigilantes are taking to the streets of Rochdale after a Pakistani grooming gang ringleader was released from prison.

A group organised by local campaigner Billy Howarth will patrol the area in the coming days, with police remaining on standby.

Shabir Ahmed, 73, who was convicted of 30 child rape offences as part of the grooming gang, was released on Thursday and cannot be deported despite being stripped of his British citizenship.

The average sum includes the cost of providing accommodation and living costs, as well as the sums spent on processing claims and any legal appeals.

It will include Channel small boat arrivals who are housed in migrant hotels as well as less costly types of claimant, such as those who arrive legally on work or student visas and then claim asylum in a bid to remain in Britain.

5Pillars editor calls for ‘mass physical training program’ for Muslims

The editor of a British news site widely described as Islamist has called for a “mass physical training program” for Muslims to defend themselves.

Roshan Salih, the founding editor of 5Pillars, said in a podcast that “we need to have a mass physical training program within the Muslim community, every single mosque providing that training, every single community center, money being poured into physically training Muslims.” He added that this would mean “we are the fittest community in this country, the strongest community in this country, and the community that is most able to defend itself in this country.”

I went undercover on the Tube to test how safe women really are. Within hours, men followed me, touched me and ignored my pleas to stop

It’s around 2am on the Piccadilly Line and the Tube carriage is empty – apart from me and a man twice my age. His eyes never leave me during the 40-minute journey.

Potbellied and with a menacing grin, he moves suddenly from the seat opposite, plonking himself down next to me. He’s desperate to get my attention, talking at me over the deafening noise of the train.

Unnerved, I get off before my stop. But he follows me and on to another near-empty train – this time the Jubilee Line towards Stratford. Again and again he tries to engage me in chat, staring at me and licking his lips.

More than 80 asylum seekers set to be moved into £250,000 ‘Migrant Street’ newbuild village homes – sparking fury among residents

Villagers are fighting plans to move 83 asylum seekers into newbuild homes in a development dubbed ‘Migrant Street.’

They say they were told the new development would be affordable housing. But they have since learned that 21 homes have been earmarked for asylum seekers.

One migrant family has already moved in to the estate – but said they wished to leave because the development was too ‘remote’ and they had faced hostility from locals.

Since David Cameron resigned after the 2016 referendum, Britain has cycled through Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, Keir Starmer, and soon another prime minister. Yet British voters directly elected only three governments during that period. Most of the turnover occurred inside Westminster as governing parties replaced their own leaders.

That distinction matters.

Why has the English flag become so toxic?

Memory is a trickster, but I am quite sure that when I was growing up, in the Eighties and Nineties, it was extremely unusual to see individual houses flying the Union Jack or the St George’s Cross. You might see a few more during big football tournaments, especially on cars and vans, but it just didn’t happen, by and large. This was a noticeable difference not only from the United States, but also from several other European nations.
