A library in Fairfax, Virginia, is targeting “school age children,” “preschoolers,” and “babies and toddlers” as the audience for their “Drag StoryBook Hour” scheduled for Saturday, June 26, as part of celebrating “Pride Month.”
The library wrote: “Celebrate Pride Month by attending Drag StoryBook Hour cosponsored by Fairfax County Public Library and the McLean Community Center. Registration required. All Ages.”
Imagine for a moment that you’re a parent in New York City who is paying $55,000 per year to send your child to first-grade classes at the exclusive Dalton preparatory school. Then try to imagine your reaction after your little tyke comes home one afternoon and tells you all about a “special” class they attended that day providing information about “touching yourself” in particular ways, followed by questions.
A “nonbinary” cartoon unicorn whose name is a slang term for vagina is being used to teach children in Canada about gender identity, training them to be trans activists.
Named “Gegi,” the unicorn is a new virtual resource that teaches students about the rights at schools in Ontario, the most populous Canadian province. The climate mobilization in Canada, as I’ve written in previous columns, has yet to feel like a grand societal undertaking. Among the bold initiatives that would send such a signal — a Youth Climate Corps.
This is not the State threatening to take away a foster child or adopted child. This is the State of New York threatening to take away a woman’s very own child over a rock in her driveway painted with a Confederate symbol.
Many American parents may assume that culture-war battles over critical race theory and “wokeness” are fought on legitimate terrain, involving such matters as how high school students can best grapple with our nation’s complex past. Perhaps they think that the suddenly ubiquitous topics of gender identity and preferred pronouns rankle only those parents who are old-fashioned in their thinking. If only. America’s youngest students are being bombarded with classroom activism and indoctrination that is inappropriate not only developmentally but for public school systems in general.

The philosopher Michel Foucault, a beacon of today’s “woke” ideology, has become the latest prominent French figure to face a retrospective reckoning for sexually abusing children.
A fellow intellectual, Guy Sorman, has unleashed a storm among Parisian “intellos” with his claim that Foucault, who died in 1984 aged 57, was a paedophile rapist who had sex with Arab children while living in Tunisia in the late 1960s.

A Milwaukee children’s court judge and father of two with ties to “Drag Queen Story Hour” was arrested after allegedly being caught with videos showing children being raped, officials said.
Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Brett Blomme, 38, was charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography on Wednesday, a day after his arrest. Each count carries a maximum fine of $100,000 and 25 years in prison, or both, and each has a mandatory minimum sentence of three years of initial confinement. Blomme is the former president of the Cream City Foundation, which hosts “Drag Queen Story Hour,” a children’s event in which drag queens read to children.

According to director/producer Sharon Liese, the film’s central characters — children ages 4, 7, 12, and 15 — “redefine ‘coming of age.’” Many conservatives rightly condemned the film as “child abuse,” launching a Twitter hashtag “#BoycottHBO.”
