Swedish PM Addresses Continued Wave of Bombings, Shootings, and Deaths

Following the spiral of violence witnessed since Christmas which so far has seen some 20 shootings and explosive detonations across Sweden—mainly in the Stockholm area—that have resulted in at least two people losing their lives, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) called this past weekend’s wave of violence as “among the worst” to hit the country in a “very long time.”

While speaking to the Swedish state-run broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) on Monday, January 24th, the center-Right prime minister, who only assumed high office several months ago, did not mince his words, referring to those responsible for the violence, namely gang-related groups, “the domestic terrorists of our time.”

Knife rampage on German train leaves two dead and seven others injured

At least two people have been killed and seven more injured in a stabbing rampage on a train in Germany today.

The attacker sparked chaos as he lunged at horrified passengers on board the train from Kiel to Hamburg shortly before 3pm, sending commuters screaming down the carriages as they tried to escape his onslaught.

The bloodbath came to an end when the suspect, reported by German newspaper Bild to be a Palestinian refugee aged between 20 and 30, was tackled by cops and arrested on a station platform in the town of Brokstedt.

Fate of many murderous ISIS Members held in Syrian camps still unclear despite Canadian court ruling

OTTAWA – A court action has prompted the federal government to begin repatriating several Canadians detained in Syria, but the fate of many other citizens trapped there remains unclear.

A Federal Court judge declared last week that four Canadian men being held in Syrian camps are entitled to the federal government’s help to return home.

Meantime, the government reached an agreement with one of the lawyers behind the case to begin the process of repatriating six Canadian women and 13 children from northeastern Syria.

Farida Deif, Canada director of the group Human Rights Watch, says there are believed to be about 27 other Canadian detainees in Syria.

Lawyer Lawrence Greenspon says a “mutually acceptable” agreement was reached today with Ottawa to repatriate the 19 Canadians.

… Greenspon says that as a result of the agreement, the application from the six women and 13 children is being discontinued, but the case of the four men remains before the court.

If I’m not mistaken one of the “men” is Jack Letts, whose parents were convicted in the UK of aiding a terrorist when they sent him funds. The twit has no real connection to Canada beyond one parent being Canadian, he was raised in the UK and they don’t want him.
