The Arab countries have finally come up with a plan for the Gaza Strip that aims to address the humanitarian crisis, restore essential services and rebuild. The $53 billion plan, announced in early March after an extraordinary meeting of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, did not come out of a genuine desire to help the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, but as a counterproposal to US President Donald Trump’s vision of relocating the residents of Gaza and turning it into the Rivera of the Middle East.

OTTAWA — Deleting a problematic Toronto police podcast that saw uniformed TPS members praising the Oct. 7 terror attacks for increasing converts to Islam doesn’t go far enough to heal the rift with the city’s Jewish community, an advocacy group warns.

In a letter to Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw from Michelle Stock, Ontario VP for the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA,) merely deleting the offending podcast doesn’t address why police brass approved it in the first place.

An independent school in south Wales established by a refugee from Nazi Germany has faced criticism after withdrawing an invitation to a Jewish journalist after concerns raised by pupils.

Jonathan Sacerdoti had been scheduled to speak at UWC Atlantic last Sunday about journalism and antisemitism.

However, the private sixth-form college, which educates students aged 16-18 from around the world, rescinded the invitation on Friday after some pupils argued that his presence would be “distressing”.
