Universities are ground zero for the most virulent strains of antisemitism that plague the West today. But within them, some clusters are more problematic than others. Above all, the widespread antisemitism in university faculties of medicine and affiliated hospitals.
Simmering for decades in these departments, the October 7 pogrom unleashed a dramatic surge in its expression amongst students, faculty and practitioners that cries out for attention at the highest levels.
‘Hide Jewish symbols’: Anti-Israel protests spark NSC warning to Israelis in Canada
The Israeli National Security Council (NSC) has raised the travel alert level for Canada from Level 1 to Level 2, warning of a growing security threat to Israelis and Jews in the country. The decision comes in light of a series of recent incidents targeting Jewish institutions and individuals, as well as an increasingly hostile public atmosphere.
Elias Rodriguez, a Chicago man, executed two people–employees of the Israeli Embassy when they attended the Jewish Museum in Washington D.C. As Rodriguez pulled the trigger, he shouted, “Free, Free, Palestine.”
Clearly, he must have felt compelled to do this because he believed every single Big Lie that has been broadcasted and recycled for at least the last sixty years in the West. Assuming his post at X/Twitter is not a fake, Rodriguez, a former member of The Party for Socialism and Liberation and a supporter of Black Lives Matter, posted a Manifesto there. According to The Jewish Voice, The Times of Israel, and The Forward, this Manifesto is in the name of “kyodo.leather” and is signed by a Elias Rodriguex. In it, he writes:
“The atrocities committed by Israelis against Palestine defy description and defy quantification … (it is) genocide. The Gaza health ministry records 53,000 killed by traumatic force … what more can one say about the proportion of mangled and burned and exploded human beings whom were children….”.

On May 19, a joint statement was issued by the governments of the United Kingdom, France, and Canada whose principal points were: ”We call on the Israeli government to stop its military operations in Gaza and immediately allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. This must include engaging with the UN to ensure a return to delivery of aid in line with humanitarian principles.” “Israel suffered a heinous attack on October 7. We have always supported Israel’s right to defend Israelis against terrorism. But this escalation is wholly disproportionate.” “If Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response.” “It is a ceasefire, the release of all remaining hostages and a long-term political solution that offer the best hope of ending the agony of the hostages and their families, alleviating the suffering of civilians in Gaza, ending Hamas’s control of Gaza and achieving a pathway to a two-state solution.”
As I write, a 2,500-strong group of anti-Israel protesters is arriving from Amsterdam, apparently intending to join the planned disruption of a pro-Israel march in Toronto. Sadly, the pre-event advertising for this counter-march can only be interpreted as an invitation to violence. (See the story from Western Standard reporter, Jen Hodgson.)

Broadcast networks ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS still have yet to utter a single word about the radical left-wing politics of the man who allegedly gunned down two Israeli embassy employees on Wednesday evening in Washington D.C. In the first 24 hours after the attack, across their live-streaming and flagship morning and evening news programs, all of these networks, as well as MSNBC, stubbornly concealed both the shooter’s political leanings — including his membership with the radical left-wing Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) — from their audiences.

The father of the terror suspect accused of gunning down two soon-to-be-engaged Israeli Embassy staffers at the Capital Jewish Museum was honored by a far-left member of Congress with an invitation to President Trump’s joint address this past March, The Post has exclusively learned.
“Eric Rodriguez was our guest during the President’s Joint Speech to Congress, but we don’t know his family,” a spokesperson for Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García (D-Ill.) told The Post Thursday night.

OTTAWA — Canada’s federal Green Party is distancing itself from comments an Alberta party executive made praising Wednesday’s murder of two Israeli Embassy workers in Washington, D.C.
After more than a year of debate, Toronto city council approved a controversial motion on Thursday to limit protests outside places of worship, schools and child-care centres.
The bylaw, which will come into effect July 2, allows owners of these institutions to apply for temporary zones of 50 metres within which protests would be banned. This is an increase over staff’s initial recommendation of 20 metres. According to city staff, there are 3,000 buildings in Toronto that could qualify.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and the leaders of France and Canada – saying that they had “effectively said they want Hamas to remain in power”.
He also accused Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Mark Carney of siding with “mass murderers, rapists, baby killers and kidnappers”.
