Foreign journalists in Israel are upset. Israel has prevented them from entering the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, which began with the Hamas-led invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023. A spokesman for the Foreign Press Association in Israel recently urged authorities to “lift restrictions without delay, allowing all journalists to work securely and without fear or hesitation” in the Gaza Strip.
Before the war, the journalists now complaining that Israel is not allowing them to enter Gaza were able to visit there anytime they liked.
Activists first to be detained under new police crackdown on such slogans
A pair of protesters who called for an “intifada” were arrested at a pro-Palestine protest on Wednesday evening.
The two demonstrators were the first to be detained after two of the country’s top police officers announced a crackdown on such chants after the Bondi Beach massacre.
They were arrested at a Palestine Coalition demonstration in central London along with another protester who attempted to obstruct their arrests.
Verena Akram, the mother of 24-year-old suspected Bondi gunman Naveed Akram, said she didn’t believe her son could be involved in the attack on Sydney’s Jewish community on Sunday, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
“He doesn’t have a firearm. He doesn’t even go out. He doesn’t mix around with friends. He doesn’t drink, he doesn’t smoke, he doesn’t go to bad places … he goes to work, he comes home, he goes to exercise and that’s it,” she claimed.

Twelve people, including children, are dead after two gunmen armed with rifles opened fire at Bondi Beach on Sunday afternoon, in an act of terrorism targeting a Jewish holiday celebration.

Video and photos taken by a Daily Mail photographer show a gunman, later identified as Naveed Akram, 24, from Bonnyrigg in Sydney’s southwest, opening fire from an elevated bridge.

The streaming platform Disney+ has been accused of politicising its Christmas publicity campaign by including a pro-Palestine symbol in its adverts.

November 19. New York City. Park East Synagogue. A mob of Muslims and “leftists” block the entrance and terrorize Jews with shouts of “Globalize the intifada” and “Take another settler out.” The protest took place two weeks after a self-declared socialist, Zohran Mamdani, won the New York mayoral election. His spokesperson said that he “discouraged the language” used by the protesters, but, she added, incorrectly, “sacred spaces should not be used to promote activities in violation of international law”. She was referring to an event at the synagogue hosted by Nefesh b’Nefesh (Soul to Soul), a Jewish group that facilitates immigration to Israel.
Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow professes herself perplexed as to the motivation behind a petty, mean, cowardly thief stealing sacred scrolls from the doors of Jewish seniors.
Is Chow so arrogant that she fails to recognize it is because of her, and politicians like her, that this kind of antisemitic criminality happens?
It is time to confront one of the most dangerous illusions of our time: the belief that an International Stabilization Force for Gaza can bring order, reconstruction, or peace without dismantling Hamas. A force that enters Gaza while Hamas remains armed will merely stabilize Hamas itself. It will become, in practice, an International Stabilization Force for Hamas, a shield that protects the very organization that plunged Gaza into tragedy.
So long as there is Islam the world will not know peace.
Toronto police are investigating the theft of about 20 mezuzahs, or Jewish prayer scrolls, reported stolen from the doorways of apartments in a North York building, as a possible hate crime.
On Sunday morning at around 10:30 a.m., Toronto police received a call for a theft in the Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West area, according to a news release Monday morning.
“The review finds that the 2025–2026 Palestinian Authority curriculum continues to systematically violate UNESCO principles and educational standards. Published in September 2025, the curriculum incites antisemitism and violence, promotes jihad and martyrdom, glorifies terrorism, rejects peacemaking and the two-state solution, and erases Israel from maps. It has not been substantively modified since the 2020–2021 school year, maintaining the same ideological framework first established in the 2016 reform cycle.”
In September, public intellectual Helen Andrews caused a stir when she delivered a provocative 17-minute speech, titled “Overcoming the Feminization of Culture,” to the National Conservatism Conference, later published as an article for Compact, titled “The Great Feminization.”
Andrews summarized feminization as the prioritizing of feminine over masculine interests, but additionally prioritizing “empathy over rationality, safety over risk, cohesion over competition.” All these traits combine, she believes, in institutions where females are numerically dominant, to define “wokeness” and “cancel culture.”
A Toronto model says her Uber driver kicked her out of the vehicle into the dark night because she was Jewish.
“What happened isn’t just an unpleasant moment. It’s a reminder of why speaking up matters,” Miriam Mattova, 33, told National Post. “And discrimination must be met with accountability, not silence.”
The anti-Israel movement in Hollywood and academia has found a new cause: securing the release of a Palestinian terrorist serving five life sentences for orchestrating deadly terror attacks against Israeli civilians, Marwan Barghouti.
High-profile actors including Benedict Cumberbatch, Mark Ruffalo, and Sir Ian McKellen joined some 200 other public figures in calling on the international community to pressure Israel to release the former Fatah leader from prison.
