Pro-Palestinian demonstrators say they feel vilified after protest cancels PM event

OTTAWA – Organizers of a pro-Palestinian protest that disrupted a weekend reception featuring Prime Minister Justin Trudeau say they’re being unfairly vilified.

The event, which was to include Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, was abruptly called off as demonstrators blocked entrances to the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Toronto police said there were no injuries arising from the protest of about 400 demonstrators, and no arrests were made, but investigations are ongoing.

British Parliament Reduced to Frightened Mess in Face of Islamist Threats

Britain’s Parliament will require visitors to undergo identity checks, as politicians become increasingly concerned about their personal security. This is the first time in its history, with the institution previously presenting itself as open to public scrutiny and allowing direct access to elected representatives.

News that Parliament will toughen up its security comes less than a fortnight after protestors projected the slogan “from the river to the sea” on its iconic exterior tower, known worldwide as Big Ben.

Why did you let them in?

Trudeau whores himself to Hamas voters by resuming funding to UNRWA with your tax dollars

The federal government is resuming funding to UNRWA, the United Nations relief agency for Palestinians, CBC News has learned.

In addition to going ahead with a scheduled payment in April of $25 million, Canada’s international development minister also intends to announce new funding, according to a senior government official.

The Canadian government announced a pause on funding in January after Israel alleged that 12 employees of UNRWA were involved in some capacity in the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas and the affiliated group Islamic Jihad.

Anti-Israel ‘hate’ mobs condemned after massing outside Montreal Holocaust Museum

An anti-Israel blockade at the site of the Montreal Holocaust Museum on Monday night has been roundly condemned by Quebec politicians as a pro-Hamas “hate” mob.

“To the Pro-Hamas demonstrators who gathered outside a Montreal Jewish community building, spreading anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiments: your disgrace is inappropriate and misplaced,” reads a Monday night statement by Jeremy Levi, mayor of the Montreal-area municipality of Hampstead.

The Museum is located in Liberal MP Anthony Housefather’s riding so you’d think he’d appreciate the diversity.

Hamas won the UK elections

Delightful multiculturalism! Note the the mayors of Birmingham, Leeds, Blackburn, Sheffield, Oxford, Oldham and Rochdale.

“This is for Gaza”, Galloway said. The left-wing populist blowhard took away Labour’s two decades of dominance in Rochdale, the former Manchester-area textile town scene of the infamous child abuse scandal, in which Pakistani immigrants committed horrific sex crimes against teenage girls working class white women for many years.

Labour’s candidate, Azhar Ali, told a party meeting that Israel had “allowed” the October 7 Hamas massacre to take place, to give it the “green light” to invade Gaza.

The Illusion of a Palestinian ‘Demilitarized’ State

As part of its effort to promote the idea of a “two-state solution,” the Biden administration has been talking about the need to establish a “demilitarized” Palestinian state next to Israel.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is reported to have asked the State Department for a “review of what a demilitarized Palestinian state would look like based on other models around the world.”

Muslim leaders meet in Toronto to declare support for Jews and combat antisemitism

Over a hundred people packed into a midtown venue to hear speakers assembled by the non-profit Council of Muslims Against Antisemitism

I do not mean to denigrate their efforts but these are the same people who have shown solidarity with the Jewish community for the last decade or longer.

Over 100 people turning out is a significant increase in their public numbers.

They will never match Hamas support.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tells pro-Palestinian protesters they are ‘f—ed up’

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lost her cool with pro-Palestinian protesters on Monday, claiming their tactics were “f—-ed up”.

The Democrat congresswoman, a critic of Israel, was visiting a cinema in New York with Riley Roberts, her fiance, when she was confronted by two activists.

Video footage of the confrontation shows the protesters following Ms Ocasio-Cortez, 34, and complaining she had not publicly called Israel’s invasion of Gaza a “genocide”.

Pro-Hamas groups decry real estate events at synagogues over allegations occupied land being sold

Chelsey Lichtman of Jews Say No to Genocide

Pro-Palestinian supporters are calling for a second real estate event planned north of Toronto to be called down over concerns it involves the selling of land in the occupied West Bank.

On Sunday, dozens of people gathered near the Aish Hatorah synagogue in Thornhill, Ont., to protest an event that organizers say was aimed at helping people in the Toronto area buy property in Israel. They were met with pro-Israeli counterprotesters and Jewish leaders took issue with the Sunday protest taking place outside a synagogue.

But Pro-Palestinian protesters say companies associated with the event market property in the West Bank, where over two million Palestinians live under Israel’s military occupation, according to the United Nations (UN).

Help I glued my finger together! Again!!

OTTAWA— A group of Canadian human rights lawyers and Palestinian Canadians who have lost family and friends in Gaza plans to sue Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly to block exports of military goods and technology to Israel, arguing the Trudeau government is in breach of Canada’s domestic and international legal obligations.

Some fears about Islam are entirely rational

A ‘phobia’ is an irrational fear, as in claustrophobia, agoraphobia or arachnophobia, all conditions deserving of sympathy. But fear can be rational, too. An infantryman in a First World War trench would have every reason to fear going over the top. To accuse him of a ‘phobia’ would be uncharitable, to say the least. An Australian suspected of arachnophobia might point out that spiders with a dangerous bite are not rare. In Britain, there’s much less to fear from spiders, so my fear of them could fairly be called arachnophobia. Is there a group of people who, like Australians in the case of spiders, have good reason to fear certain aspects of Islam? If such a group exists, I suggest it would be found among Muslims themselves.

LILLEY: Toronto Police Chief Demkiw embarrassed Canada, he needs to resign

Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw should do the honourable thing and resign after thoroughly embarrassing the entire country on Saturday. If he won’t do the honourable thing, the police services board should fire him with cause at the next meeting.

He has his orders from Chow, velvet gloves for Hamas.

Frankly I’m looking forward to the Yahya Sinwar memorial rallies.
