For months, the Hamas terrorist group and pro-Palestinian activists around the world have been claiming that the Gaza Strip is facing an imminent famine and accusing Israel of deliberately starving Palestinians. Yet this scenario never materialized.

Those claims were rarely questioned, and instead were uncritically repeated by far too many pliable news media outlets in Canada and beyond, which jettisoned their journalistic integrity in favour of an easy narrative.

The number of Israeli hostages alive in captivity in Gaza may be as low as 50, according to leaks from mediators involved in the negotiations for a ceasefire deal.

It is the lowest assessment to date of the 120 people still imprisoned by the Hamas terrorist group, and comes as talks to end the war in Gaza have largely stalled amid growing anger at the Israeli government.

Considering how much attention the American media get, it’s amazing that one piece of actual, unbelievable subversion keeps going on.

WaPo portrayed this as a “dark day” for press freedom.

Since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel, parents across Canada have complained that schools have become hostile environments to Jewish students. Now, a survey of dozens of Ontario schools suggests that huge majorities of parents worry about the safety and social isolation of Jewish students.

The informal survey, carried out between May 12 and May 15, comes at a time when school boards, parents and community members are concerned about alleged acts of antisemitism and other forms of discrimination in schools, both on the part of other students and teachers and staff.

Toronto District School Board trustees voted Wednesday to include “anti-Palestinian racism” in their broader strategy to combat discrimination within Canada’s largest public school district.

The vote was carried by a 15-to-7 margin and went ahead despite objections from hundreds of Jewish parents and community members, including Larry Maher, a parent of TDSB students, who said the “adoption of anti-Palestinian racism is going to enable those to weaponize against anyone that practices Judaism and or supports Israel.
