RCMP has declared the Sterling Arms R9 MK1 carbine a prohibited firearm, effective July 6, 2025.
This sudden reclassification impacts all models, including sub-models 198846-1 and 198846-2.
Canadian Shooting Sports Association (CSSA) alerted its members, warning the move is a major blow to owners.
Prime Minister Mark Carney wasted no time in axing a signature Justin Trudeau policy the moment he took on the job. The problem with the carbon tax, as we all know, was that it was deeply unpopular in Canada, so the new Prime Minister had no choice but to kill it if he wanted to keep his job.
The mainstream, anti-gun media lies a lot.
They don’t necessarily make up things, of course. They might misrepresent the truth, which might be intentional or might just be from ignorance, but actually fabricating things? That doesn’t happen nearly as often as many of us might like to believe.
No, they tend to be great at the lie of omission.
Throughout the tech industry, there’s a certain amount of anti-gun bias just about everywhere. Facebook used to be pretty good about the buying and selling of firearms, but now even gun stores run into advertising problems. YouTube used to be a great place to learn about firearms, and now they’re making it more and more difficult for anyone to learn anything.
And that’s just the social media companies.

On June 12, five individuals are alleged to have attempted to steal a Lamborghini in the early hours of the morning in Vaughan and attempted to break into a person’s dwelling while wearing disguises. A resident of the home is alleged to have discharged a firearm during the incident. Now, that resident is charged with committing criminal offences relating to his possession and use of that firearm.

OTTAWA — As Canada continues to battle high crime rates, most Canadians want the federal government to focus on criminals rather than law-abiding firearms owners, according to a survey.
In a Leger survey commissioned by the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, 55% of those polled say Canadian gun policy should focus on introducing tougher measures to stop illegal firearms from being smuggled into Canada from the United States.
Artificial intelligence, as we currently have it, is an interesting technology, especially since it’s really just some pretty advanced if/then statements, more or less. It’s being embraced for a variety of purposes, some of which make sense and some of which doesn’t.
