Germany’s Cultural Suicide

Germany’s Cultural Suicide

light EZY8629 from London Gatwick touched down at Berlin Brandenburg at 05:40am, and with it came an unexpected pang of nostalgia for Berlin’s old Tegel Airport.

I had flown there in 2020, shortly before it was closed and repurposed as a refugee arrival and accommodation centre.

I had been training as an English teacher with the Berlin School of English at the time, and used to love taking the S- and U-Bahns from Friedrichstraße to Charlottenburg, and Wilmersdorfer Straße to Fehrbelliner Platz to visit my aunt and uncle who lived nearby.

One of Germany’s largest police unions has called for sweeping changes to the country’s citizenship, deportation, and asylum laws following last weekend’s Islamist terror attack in Berlin.

The German Establishment is so Desperate to Crush the AfD it has Developed an AI ‘Racist Uncle’ and Sent it into Schools for Children to Debate

Täteropferumkehr is the German term for “victim blaming” – often hyphenated as Täter-Opfer-Umkehr to make it look slightly less clunky. In recent times, our political and media establishment have turned it into a sharp tool, employed with reference to both foreign and domestic politics.

Unsurprisingly, Germany’s woke lLeft – always eager to champion the alleged plight of the “oppressed” – views Israel, the only functioning democracy in the Middle East, as the ultimate perpetrator, while framing bloodthirsty Arab aggressors as the true victims. In 2025, five Berlin-based “activists” (four of whom openly identify as “they/them”) ransacked an Elbit Systems facility in Ulm, causing over a million euros in damage. Now standing trial in Stuttgart, they naturally view themselves as the victims.

German Muslims are alarmed by next week’s Berlin Islamist terror attack

German Muslims are alarmed by next week’s Berlin Islamist terror attack

The terrorist attack that struck Berlin’s Pride celebration, or Christopher Street Day (CSD), late on Saturday evening has heightened fears and concerns about further Islamist attacks. Until Sunday evening, when security forces confronted 21-year-old Abdul B. and fatally shot him, most media outlets and the politicians responsible referred to a “suspected perpetrator” and “alleged motives”.

Investigators are now relatively certain that the perpetrator was an Islamist, a radicalized Muslim with links to the “Islamic State” terror group. Politicians and security agencies are debating stricter laws and expanded surveillance powers. Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt of the conservative Christian Social Union (CSU) is politically responsible for this area.

After fleeing the scene, the perpetrator was on the loose for several hours before being shot to death on Sunday in the capital’s Spandau district by police whom he had lunged at with a knife.

A man suspected of fatally shooting six child welfare workers at a shelter for mothers in Stade in northern Germany last month died by suicide in jail on Tuesday.

The suspect, who has been partially identified in German media as 45-year-old Fatih Khan G., was found dead by jail staff in his single cell early Tuesday, the Lower Saxony state justice ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said there are ‘currently no indications of third-party involvement’ in the suspect’s death at the jail, and that both his relatives and the relatives of the shooting victims had been informed.

Dr Rainer Zitelmann doesn’t even remember posting the meme on social media that nearly landed him in prison.

“When I opened the letter from police, I thought it was a misunderstanding,” Dr Zitelmann, a German historian and author of about 30 books, told The Telegraph.

Berlin police told Dr Zitelmann he had been accused of violating a post-Second World War law that bans the display of Nazi symbols, slogans and imagery – and could now face three years in prison if found guilty.

Sharia Lawless: Flight Attendant Assaulted By Passenger Refusing To Sit Next to a Woman

A flight from Turkey to Düsseldorf became the scene of a violent altercation—with a ‘culture clash’ at the heart of the conflict.

In the early hours of June 1, a male passenger refused to take his assigned seat with Turkish Airlines because it would mean him sitting next to a woman. He explicitly cited Sharia law to justify his actions. When a female flight attendant approached the man to address his non-compliance and defuse the situation, the confrontation quickly escalated.

RIP Volkswagen? The downfall of a German giant

Oliver Blume, the 58-year-old chief executive of Volkswagen Group, has lived and breathed the mighty German car industry for three decades.

After training as an engineer, he began his career in the body shop of Audi, honing his skills at a time when German cars were still the first and last word in automotive excellence.

He surely couldn’t have imagined, or wanted, his stellar VW trajectory to end up like it did last week.

Germany Plans Secret Home Raids and Teenage Informants

Germany’s domestic intelligence agency could soon be authorised to secretly alter digital data, hack into private computers and mobile phones, enter homes without occupants’ knowledge, recruit 16- and 17-year-olds as informants, and never inform citizens that they had been subjected to surveillance.

The draft law, prepared by Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, would dramatically expand the powers of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz, BfV), Germany’s domestic intelligence agency.

Young Germans opt out of military service as Berlin strives to boost army

The number of young men applying to be conscientious objectors and refuse armed military service in Germany has risen sharply this year, undermining a drive by Berlin to create Europe’s strongest conventional army and deter the Russian threat.

More people had applied to exclude themselves from service on religious or moral grounds in the first half of 2026 than in the whole of last year, according to figures provided by the government on Tuesday.

AfD Unveils Radical First 100-Day Plan Ahead of Saxony-Anhalt Election

During its state party congress in Saxony-Anhalt over the weekend, AfD unveiled its government program for the first hundred days after the September election, with polls suggesting that it could form a single-party government at the state level for the first time.

In line with voter expectations, migration is among the most important points that AfD wants to tackle head-on. The 100-day program includes “deportations from minute one,” and pledges that “all available options” will be used to deport as many illegal migrants as possible, something that both the CDU’s local and federal governments have failed to deliver on for years.
