WASHINGTON (JTA) — An imam who has wished for the end of Zionism, called for a third Intifada and likened Israel to Nazi-era Germany delivered the opening prayer for a session of the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday.
Omar Suleiman, the founder and president of the Dallas-based Yaqeen Institute, an organization that describes itself as a resource about Islam, referred to recent attacks on houses of worship — which has included synagogues in the United States — in his opening remarks.
An elected state representative bullies “an old white lady” in a manner worthy of Margaret Sanger.
A man must be something of a moralist if he is to preach,” G.K. Chesterton observed, “even if he is to preach immorality.”
Brian Sims, a Pennsylvania state representative by profession and abortion counterprotester by avocation, embodies Chesterton’s quip. The former defensive tackle for Bloomsburg University aggressively hectored a woman who appeared to be praying the rosary outside of a Planned Parenthood clinic in his Pennsylvania district. On the uncomfortable eight-minute clip, Sims calls the silent protester “an old white lady” and announces, “If you know who this woman is and if you can give me her address, we’ll protest in front of her home. Let’s protest out in front of her house.”
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, warned that Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) are “normalizing” Islamism in American politics and culture, offering his remarks in a Tuesday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.
Marlow invited Jasser’s comments on a Friday report of a video depicting Muslim children wearing Palestinian attire and singing jihadist songs and shared on the Muslim American Society Islamic Center in Philadelphia’s (MAS Philly) Facebook page.
“People see these clips and they think it’s just an aberration or a one-off,” said Jasser.
No. Not an aberration, these children are being raised Muslim.
All decent people should be outraged at the terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip that fired 698 rockets at Israeli civilians, killing four, injuring 234 and traumatizing thousands of innocent children. Imagine what other countries, including the United States, would do if lethal rockets targeted their civilians. Yet, Israel has responded with restraint. To be sure, 30 Palestinians were killed and 154 injured by Israeli efforts to stop the rocket rampage. Many of these were terrorists, but some were civilians who were put in harm’s way by the terrorists.
Democrat Sen. Mazie Hirono verbally brutalized A.G. William Barr during the Judiciary Committee hearing. Hirono’s abuse of Barr and disrespect for our president were condescending and breathtakingly evil. Her demand that Barr resign was rooted in spin and lies. She venomously denounced president Trump as a “grifter and liar.”
Can you imagine the American Left’s response to a Republican calling Obama a grifter and liar?
Shocking footage uncovered by the Investigative Project last week shows a skit produced by the Muslim American Society (MAS) in Philadelphia showing children calling for martyrdom as soldiers in the “army of Allah” and threatening to behead their enemies and subject them to “eternal torture” to wrest Jerusalem from Jewish control.
The horrific MAS-Philly children’s skit was posted to their Facebook page and shows a choreographed production as part of the group’s April 17th “Ummah Day” pageant dedicated to supporting jihad to control Palestine. A MAS statement on Friday said the songs and poems the children recited exhorting violence and terrorism were an “unintended mistake” and attributed the incident to a vetting error.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) tweeted an attack on Israel on Sunday even as Palestinian terrorists fired hundreds of rockets at Israeli civilians, bringing the death toll to four — including, ironically, a Muslim Arab citizen of Israel.
Just before a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel ended the latest wave of rocket attacks and Israeli retaliatory strikes Monday morning, Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar called for an end to the “occupation”, arguing that “real justice” was needed to bring about “security and a lasting peace”.
The freshman Democrat tweeted the comments early Monday morning, just hours before an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire agreement went into effect.
In the tweet, Omar criticized Israel for the shooting of terrorists who had opened fire on Israeli soldiers along the Gaza border Friday, calling the terrorists “protesters”. Two Israeli soldiers were wounded in the attack, which prompted IDF forces to respond with live fire.
Vice President Mike Pence again berated freshman Representative Ilhan Omar on Friday for blaming the issues in Venezuela on the U.S.
‘The congresswoman doesn’t know what she is talking about,’ Pence told Fox News the day after Omar said the U.S. ‘bullying’ exacerbated the issues between Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro and opposition leader Juan Guaido.
‘Nicolas Maduro is a socialist dictator who has taken what was once one of the most prosperous nations in this hemisphere and brought it literally to a level of deprivation and oppression and poverty that we have never seen,’ Pence continued. ‘Nine out of 10 people in Venezuela live in poverty. Three million people have fled Venezuela. That’s not a result of U.S. policies. That’s a result of the dictatorship and socialism that has been imposed on the people of Venezuela by Nicolas Maduro.’
It was just a few months ago that the most-anticipated Congressional class in U.S. history was sworn into office.
Lauded as the largest class of women ever elected to Congress – and also the most diverse – the expectations were high for the world to witness women’s leadership in action.
However, this class of broads has done enough damage in their first 100 days to make Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Abigail Adams turn over in their graves.
Vladimir Lenin’s pamphlet What Is To Be Done? published in 1902, provided a draft proposal for the Communist revolution of 1905 and the Bolshevik seizure of power in 1917. Based on Nikolai Chernyshevsky ’s 1863 novel of that title, which argued for the creation of working cooperatives (an early version of the “soviets”) and total dedication to the socialist ideal, Lenin took the message to greater extremes. In order to avert the danger of “diversion from the correct path,” a spearhead of radical fighters and an “educated intelligentsia” were indispensable. Lenin saw his platoon of believers as a cadre of “social democrats,” whose agenda, as it turned out, rested on coercion, deception, violence and mass slaughter. The party, he stated, “will stop at nothing to rid itself of an unworthy member”—for that matter, it would stop at nothing to rid itself of its political opponents and ordinary dissenters, by any means necessary.
Freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has distinguished herself with often offensive, outrageous, and unpatriotic rhetoric. One week she invokes classic anti-Jewish tropes. The next she trivializes the September 11 jihadist attacks. Another it is unearthed that she espouses morally relativistic if not overtly anti-American views about U.S. soldiers, the very ones who fought to defend civilians in her native Somalia to boot.
Omar’s penchant for provoking millions of Americans with odious words has masked the related, equally if not more troubling, elements of her associations, ideology, and background.
After Congresswomen Ilham Omar’s and Rashida Tlaib’s incendiary anti-Semitic rants directed at Jewish Americans and American ally Israel, the Democrat House “progressive caucus,” led by Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, rallied around to protect and support them. The progressive media chimed in, supporting the Islamist congresswomen. Even after Rep. Omar dismissed the 9/11 attacks as “someone did something,” Democrat progressives defended her, accusing the president of religious bigotry when he objected.
The votes? To paraphrase the late, great George Carlin: The fascism of political correctness? No, it’s pure, unadulterated fear, with heavy doses of anti-white and Christophobia mixed in.
Perhaps the moniker “radical Islam” should be supplanted with “Islamic supremacism,” to keep in line with the Democrats’ favorite terrorist group: white supremacists. In the wake of the Sri Lankan Easter Sunday Islamic supremacist terrorist attacks that killed over 300 “Easter worshipers,” Democrats were quick to condemn but refused to acknowledge the ideology of the terrorists or the religious beliefs of the victims.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) said after the terrorist attacks on September 11th, she became afraid of average Americans. The freshman Congresswoman made the comments in a video for the feminist website Makers, which touts women’s “bold ideas” for change.
