If the Wuhan lab-leak hypothesis is true, expect a political earthquake

There was a time when the Covid pandemic seemed to confirm so many of our assumptions. It cast down the people we regarded as villains. It raised up those we thought were heroes. It prospered people who could shift easily to working from home even as it problematized the lives of those Trump voters living in the old economy.

Like all plagues, Covid often felt like the hand of God on earth, scourging the people for their sins against higher learning and visibly sorting the righteous from the unmasked wicked. “Respect science,” admonished our yard signs. And lo!, Covid came and forced us to do so, elevating our scientists to the highest seats of social authority, from where they banned assembly, commerce, and all the rest.

The China class will make sure nothing comes between them and their “investments,” China will not suffer and everything else will remain the same but especially a deeply held contempt for the our media and the governing class. That’s no earthquake that’s the norm.

Diane Francis: Canada must be transparent about Wuhan lab ties

With evidence mounting that SARS-CoV-2 may have escaped from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government could find itself in a very awkward position if the American intelligence report ordered by U.S. President Joe Biden into the origins of the virus ends up uncovering previously undisclosed information about the connections between Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory and the Wuhan lab.

‘Too much of a burden’: Chinese couples react to three-child policy

“When hearing the news today, my colleagues joked that unless the government rewards us with a flat and a degree for every single child we give birth to, the policy has nothing to do with us at all.

Chinese couples – especially women – are less willing to give birth these days. This is because the pressure is too high in today’s society. After giving birth, as a woman, you are not likely to return to work any time soon due to childcare. The more babies you have, the more you’ll have to sacrifice in your career.”

New report details Communist China’s foreign influence operations in Canada

New report details Communist China’s foreign influence operations in Canada

China has set up a sophisticated network in this country to harass people of Chinese ethnicity and Uyghur- and Tibetan-Canadians, distort information in the media, influence politicians and form partnerships with universities to secure intellectual property, a new study says.

A report by Alliance Canada Hong Kong (ACHK) that was tabled on Monday evening at the special House of Commons committee on Canada-China relations warns that the influence operations by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) are widespread, but have gone largely unnoticed. Alliance Canada Hong Kong is an umbrella group for Hong Kong pro-democracy advocates in this country.

The many failures of China’s vaccine program

China’s pretense to scientific prowess over the West has been exposed by mixed and questionable results

At the start of the year Sebastián Piñera, president of Chile, went to Santiago airport personally to greet a consignment of vaccines from China. ‘Today is a day of joy, excitement and hope,’ he said from a podium on the tarmac. ‘As you see behind me, there is the plane that brought a shipment of almost two million doses of Sinovac vaccines.’ By April, Chile had suffered one of the worst COVID surges in Latin America. The joy and hope, it seemed, had been misplaced.

Wuhan lab leak theory ‘IS feasible’ says British intelligence as evidence mounts that Covid was engineered by Chinese scientists

Wuhan lab leak theory ‘IS feasible’ says British intelligence as evidence mounts that Covid was engineered by Chinese scientists

British intelligence operatives now believe it is ‘feasible’ the coronavirus pandemic began with a leak from a research laboratory in Wuhan.

They are now investigating the possibility that a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a Chinese research facility, sparked the global crisis which has sparked more than 3.5 million deaths.

Western intelligence agencies had seemingly written off the ‘remote’ chance that the laboratory – where research into bat-derived coronaviruses is conducted – had played a role, but a recent reassessment has meant the leak theory is considered ‘feasible’, sources say.

US must share intelligence on Covid origins, WHO-affiliated expert says

US must share intelligence on Covid origins, WHO-affiliated expert says

A health expert affiliated with the World Health Organization has called on the US to share any intelligence it has about the origins of the coronavirus outbreak with the WHO and the scientific community.

Last week the Wall Street Journal cited US intelligence agencies who said they were told that three unnamed members of staff at a lab in the Chinese city of Wuhan were sick enough to go hospital in November 2019 with Covid-like symptoms.

WHO is compromised by China just like President 10%.

Corbella: Trudeau’s shameful support of the Chinese regime threatens Canada

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s inability to see the malevolence of China’s Communist regime appears to be as strong as ever and his response to questions about that threat are as shameful and troubling as ever.

Recently, Alberta’s advanced education minister, Demetrios Nicolaides, sent a letter to four of the province’s universities asking them to suspend new or renewed partnerships with organizations linked with China or the Chinese Communist Party.

COVID-19 ‘has NO credible natural ancestor’ and WAS created by Chinese scientists who then tried to cover their tracks with ‘retro-engineering’ to make it seem like it naturally arose from bats, explosive new study claims

An explosive new study claims that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a Wuhan lab, then tried to cover their tracks by reverse-engineering versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.

The paper’s authors, British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen, wrote that they have had ‘prima facie evidence of retro-engineering in China’ for a year – but were ignored by academics and major journals.

Dalgleish is a professor of oncology at St George’s University, London, and is best known for his breakthrough creating the first working ‘HIV vaccine’, to treat diagnosed patients and allow them to go off medication for months.

Facebook should never have stifled the debate about COVID’s origins

Clearly the social-media giant is uneasy with its role in the public square

Good news everybody — you can finally post what you always thought about how the pandemic started on Facebook without being muzzled.

The Silicon Valley giant, which has around 2.85 billion users, had been banning posts that claimed COVID-19 was man-made. But now, according to a company spokesperson, ‘In light of ongoing investigations into the origin of COVID-19 and in consultation with public health experts, we will no longer remove the claim that COVID-19 is man-made from our apps.’

No surprise. Zuck is in the rope business.

Conservative Asian-Canadian MPs Rip Justin Trudeau Apart for Prostrating Before China

Conservative Asian-Canadian MPs Rip Justin Trudeau Apart for Prostrating Before China

We are living in a time where demonstrating an ability to go against the grain without apology and standing up to China are imperative traits for a world leader to possess.

Unfortunately, the Biden administration continues to demonstrate that they are sorely lacking in that department. And to make matters worse, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has also been perfecting his own ability to bend the knee when the opportunity presents itself to show fealty to China.

Friends reunion: BTS, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber censored in China

Something was amiss in China’s version of the much-anticipated Friends reunion special: guest stars BTS, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber were nowhere to be seen.

Eagle-eyed fans found the stars were cut on all three Chinese streamers with broadcast rights. LGBTQ references, among other things, were also gone.

It is believed that footage of the stars were cut because they are deemed to have insulted China in the past.

Coming Soon: China’s Navy Patrolling Off New York

China is scouting for a naval base on the west coast of Africa. In the near future, therefore, Chinese ships could be regularly patrolling off America’s East Coast.

In recent testimony before the House and Senate Armed Services Committees, General Stephen Townsend, commander of U.S. Africa Command, has been sounding the alarm.

At the moment, China’s only offshore military base is in Djibouti, on the Horn of Africa. The facility is near some of the world’s busiest shipping routes, including those going through the Suez Canal.
