The next election is not scheduled until 2025, but so far 14 MPs have decided not to run again, including 10 Liberals, ahead of what some pundits say will be “the most difficult election” for the party since 2015.
The NDP, of course, is holding the Liberal government’s feet to the fire over a national, universal, government-paid drug plan. If the Liberals don’t produce one, the NDP might withdraw its support and bring down the government.
For all the annoying things that Justin Trudeau does, it’s his policies that are the most aggravating.
Forget his lavish vacations, his embarrassing foreign junkets or his habit of talking down to people, he simply has some ridiculous policies that hurt Canada.
From a polling perspective, 2023 was a horrible year for the federal Liberals. It doesn’t matter if the government was sometimes a victim of forces outside its control – it felt as if everything that could have gone wrong went wrong.
